Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, has appointed Alicia Ruckteschler as its new Chief Procurement Officer. This key leadership addition strengthens the company's ability to scale rapidly while maintaining cost efficiency, innovation, and speed to market in the hyperscale data center sector.
Ruckteschler will position procurement as a core strategic and execution-focused function integrated across the entire project lifecycle at Vantage. By working closely with internal technical teams and external suppliers, she will ensure sourcing decisions align with design standards, construction timelines, and long-term operational requirements. This integrated approach will enable faster delivery of complex hyperscale infrastructure while building stronger, more resilient supplier relationships to fuel continued market expansion.
Ruckteschler's career spans more than two decades supporting major data center, infrastructure, and technology organizations. At Equinix, as Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, she directed a global team of over 140 professionals responsible for procurement across major capital equipment, power procurement, network infrastructure, software, and construction services. Her work emphasized operational resilience, cost optimization, and sustainability, while she also provided expert input to the bipartisan U.S. House AI Task Force in 2024 regarding data center infrastructure, energy needs, and supply chain dynamics critical to AI advancement.
Earlier, she led infrastructure commodity management at Google, where she developed and scaled global sourcing operations for large-scale data center deployments. She successfully mitigated supply risks and generated substantial cost savings through innovative supplier strategies and disciplined strategic sourcing practices. Her hands-on experience in construction and development environments has given her comprehensive insight into managing the full lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
“Alicia brings an exceptional combination of strategic vision, operational rigor and deep hyperscale infrastructure experience to the Vantage leadership team,” said Tench. “Her ability to optimize global procurement organizations, strengthen supplier ecosystems, optimize costs and execute rapid growth will be critical as Vantage continues expanding our platform to meet unprecedented AI and hyperscale demand.”
“I’m excited to join Vantage at a moment of significant growth for the company and the industry,” said Ruckteschler. “Vantage’s focus on disciplined execution, collaboration and long-term value creation strongly aligns with my approach to strategic procurement. I look forward to partnering across the organization to build and optimize scalable procurement and sourcing capabilities that support our customers and enable sustainable global growth.”
This appointment reinforces Vantage Data Centers' commitment to operational excellence as it scales to serve leading AI and cloud providers. With Ruckteschler's proven track record in hyperscale procurement, the company is well-positioned to accelerate campus development, enhance supply chain resilience, and meet the explosive global demand for digital infrastructure.
