AI Beyond Scale: Ecosystem-Driven Innovation

During the panel “AI Beyond Scale: Building Competitive and Sustainable Ecosystems,” Dowson Tong, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent and CEO of its Cloud & Smart Industries Group, highlighted AI’s transformative potential. “The next phase of AI promises more than just operational efficiency,” Tong said. He advocated for an ecosystem-driven approach, enabling European enterprises to deploy AI solutions like customer service agents and industry-specific tools via modular, multi-cloud strategies. Gartner predicts 90% of organizations will adopt hybrid cloud by 2027, a shift Tencent Cloud supports with secure, scalable infrastructure.

Strategic Partnership with Orange

In conjunction with Viva Tech, Orange launched an upgraded Max It super app, integrating Tencent’s Mini App Platform (TCMPP) and real-time chat solutions. Starting June 2025, the app will serve 160M mobile users across the Middle East and Africa, offering e-commerce, payments, and entertainment via 20+ mini apps. With plans to onboard 100,000 partners, the platform aims to redefine digital experiences in telecom and retail, leveraging Tencent’s expertise in ecosystem connectivity.

Healthcare AI Advancements

On the panel “The Intelligent Ally: How Is AI Reshaping Medical Practice?,” Dr. Alex Ng, President of Tencent Healthcare, discussed AI’s role in transforming healthcare. Tencent’s Hunyuan-powered consultation service supports 10,000 medical institutions in China, while its AI imaging has analyzed over 10M scans globally. Tencent Cloud also enabled Sanofi to streamline operations in China via a centralized data lake, enhancing scalability in the $2.5T healthcare market.

Empowering European Enterprises

Tencent Cloud’s partnerships with European giants like Bosch for smart driving, Mercedes-Benz for in-car entertainment, and Cathedral Studios for gaming demonstrate its versatility. With 11,000+ global partners and 400+ solutions across 30 industries, Tencent serves over 10,000 enterprises in 200 markets. Its infrastructure, spanning 27 regions and 68 availability zones, ensures low-latency AI deployment, addressing the $235B global AI market projected to hit $632B by 2028.

Multi-Cloud and Sustainable Growth

Tencent Cloud’s multi-cloud strategy aligns with the 50% year-on-year growth in APAC cloud adoption, offering tools like Tencent Hunyuan Turbo, which doubles training efficiency and cuts inference costs by 50%. By fostering responsible innovation, Tencent supports European firms in gaming, finance, and retail, competing with AWS and Azure while emphasizing localized solutions. Posts on X reflect enthusiasm for Tencent’s role in driving AI scalability at Viva Tech 2025.

Future Outlook

With a $150M investment planned for Middle East infrastructure and new data centers in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, Tencent Cloud is poised to bridge Europe with high-growth regions. Its focus on AI, cloud, and ecosystem collaboration positions it to lead sustainable digital transformation, empowering European enterprises to stay competitive in a $1T global cloud market by 2030.
