John Browett’s appointment strengthens Telness Tech’s strategic vision as it scales globally. As Chairman of Octopus Group, parent of Octopus Energy, Browett has driven transformative technology adoption through the Kraken Technologies platform. His past roles include Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple (2012) and CEO of Tesco.com (1999–2004), where he pioneered large-scale e-commerce in Europe’s competitive retail sector. “Telness Tech is doing to telecom what Kraken has done to the energy sector—rewriting the rules,” Browett said. “Martina and the team have built a unique platform with a proven ability to help operators leapfrog legacy systems.”
Martina Klingvall, CEO and Founder of Telness Tech, emphasized Browett’s value: “His unique combination of strategic vision, operational excellence, and boardroom expertise will help guide us as we continue to simplify telecom globally.”
Telness Tech’s flagship product, Seamless OS, is a cloud-native BSS/OSS platform that enables mobile operators and digital-first companies to launch and scale AI-powered mobile services. Often called the “Shopify for telecom,” it offers over 250 pre-built customer journeys, full brand customization, and integrations with any telecom network via open APIs. The platform has driven an 80% cost reduction, tripled profits, and earned a 4.8/5 Trustpilot rating for clients like Swedish operator Telness. In 2024 and 2025, Seamless OS expanded to power over 24 operators, including partnerships with T-Mobile and Lebara, across the U.S., Europe, and Africa.
Telness Tech’s growth trajectory includes a €5M bridge funding round in April 2024 from Industrifonden and Viltor (JCE Group), supporting its U.S. market entry with two clients signed by February 2024. The company implemented 11 operators on Seamless OS in six weeks in late 2023, growing to 18 by April 2024. A November 2024 partnership with VAS2Nets and Lebara launched an MVNO in Nigeria, targeting the region’s booming telecom market.
The global MVNO market, projected to reach $150B by 2030 (Statista, 2025), is driven by demand for digital-first telecom solutions. Telness Tech’s AI-driven automation aligns with this trend, reducing time-to-market to two months and boosting customer satisfaction threefold. Browett’s experience at Vorboss, where he chairs London’s elite enterprise fiber network since 2023, further complements his role in guiding Telness Tech’s expansion.
