ServiceNow has announced that its entire product portfolio is now AI-enabled by default. Moving away from fragmented "sidecar" AI add-ons, the company has integrated AI, data connectivity, workflow execution, security, and governance into every product offering. This unified approach aims to provide organizations with an "AI control tower" capable of moving from human assistance to autonomous execution across the entire enterprise.

Context Engine: The Brain of the Autonomous Enterprise

ServiceNow’s new Context Engine is designed to solve the problem of "hallucination" and lack of business awareness in AI agents. By drawing from the Service Graph, Knowledge Graph, and 85 billion existing workflows, Context Engine provides AI agents with the specific context needed to make accurate decisions.

It understands complex business nuances, such as which approval chain applies to specific cost thresholds or which regulatory policies govern a particular asset. This ensures that AI agents act with precision and accountability, growing smarter with every human and agent decision made within the system.

Opening the Platform to the Global Developer Community

Starting April 15, 2026, ServiceNow is opening its ecosystem to developers using third-party tools. Through the ServiceNow SDK and Build Agent skills, developers can stay within their preferred Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)—such as Windsurf, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex—and deploy code directly to the ServiceNow AI Platform.

To support mid-market organizations, ServiceNow introduced Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Foundation. This package allows companies to unify IT, HR, legal, finance, and procurement onto a single AI platform in weeks rather than months.
