Vanta, the leading AI-powered trust management platform, has appointed Scott Holden as its new Chief Marketing Officer to drive global brand awareness and business growth. With 20 years of marketing leadership at high-growth SaaS companies like Brex, ThoughtSpot, and Salesforce, Holden brings expertise in product-led growth and enterprise-scale marketing to Vanta’s mission of simplifying security and compliance.

Quick Intel

  • Scott Holden named Chief Marketing Officer at Vanta, effective July 2025.

  • Previously CMO at Brex, led 90% enterprise growth and 70% startup sign-up increase.

  • Oversaw marketing at ThoughtSpot, scaling revenue to over $150M.

  • Spent seven years in leadership roles at Salesforce, driving category creation.

  • Vanta recognized as a Leader in 2025 IDC MarketScape for GRC software.

  • Holden to focus on expanding Vanta’s AI-powered trust management platform.

Leadership in High-Growth SaaS

Holden’s appointment strengthens Vanta’s leadership as it scales its AI-driven trust management solutions. “Scott has a unique talent for transforming breakthrough products into generational category leaders,” said Vanta CEO Christina Cacioppo. At Brex, Holden evolved the brand into a leading AI-powered spend platform, achieving over 90% enterprise business growth and a 70% increase in startup sign-ups in 2024. His high-impact campaigns, including “Concurghhh” and partnerships with DoorDash and Robinhood, showcased his storytelling and analytical expertise.

Proven Track Record

Before Brex, Holden served as CMO and Head of Go-to-Market Operations at ThoughtSpot, growing revenue from $0 to over $150M by targeting Global 2000 enterprises. At Salesforce, he held roles like Vice President of Marketing for Sales Cloud and Chatter, building world-class teams across customer and industry marketing. “I first discovered Vanta after experiencing just how painful and complex the SOC 2 process can be,” said Holden. “Vanta’s vision for AI-powered trust has never been more relevant—or essential—than it is today.”

Vanta’s Growing Momentum

Holden joins Vanta amid significant milestones, including the launch of the Vanta AI Agent in June 2025 for automating GRC workflows and achieving ISO 42001 certification. Vanta’s recognition as a Leader in the 2025 IDC MarketScape for Governance, Risk, and Compliance Software underscores its role in simplifying compliance for over 11,000 companies, including Atlassian and Duolingo. Recent accolades include Forbes Cloud 100 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies.

With Holden’s leadership, Vanta aims to deepen customer engagement and expand its market presence, reinforcing its position as the go-to platform for AI-driven trust management across startups and Fortune 50 enterprises.
