Ryght AI, the clinical trials site intelligence and global study startup AI company, and ElixirTrials, a clinical research technology and site network company, have entered into a strategic partnership to combine Elixir's site-facing AI technology with Ryght's global site network and study startup tech and services. The partnership will bring site-facing AI to Platinum-tier sites in the Ryght global site network, bringing end-to-end AI-powered trial workflows to research sites worldwide.
Ryght AI's unique patent-pending AI Site Twins, or real time analytical models, of over 330,000 research sites across 225 countries and territories help sponsors find the best sites for any trial, then quickly activate them. ElixirTrials' Cauldron operating system will then enable those sites to identify and match eligible patients, streamline screening, consent and enrollment, and manage end-to-end clinical trial operations through AI-powered, HER-integrated workflows.
Under contemplated arrangement, Ryght will license Elixir's site AI technology spanning patient pre-screening, consent, screening, monitoring, reporting, and additional clinical trial management workflows and deliver it to sites as part of Ryght platform. The capabilities will be offered as benefit of Platinum-tier participation, giving sites practical AI tools that reduce manual work associated with identifying potential participant, enrolling them, and managing trial operations.
"Sponsors keep asking how to pick the right sites. The better question is how to make every site in the network better, and that's exactly what this partnership does," said Simon Arkell, Co-Founder and CEO of Ryght AI and former CEO and co-founder of Deep Lens. "Our AI Site Twins tell sponsors which sites, anywhere in the world, are most likely to deliver, and we activate them fast. Elixir's technology helps those sites actually deliver — moving a patient from 'might qualify' to 'consented and screened' in a fraction of the time while also reducing manual workflow burdens across the trial timeline. Also, Heather brings something you can't license: years of hard-won judgment about what really happens at the site level during study startup. Putting that technology and that judgment together raises the bar for everyone in the Ryght network."
"Sites don't have a science problem — they have a bandwidth problem," said Heather Grey, CEO of Elixir Trials. "Ryght has built something no one else has: a living, global model of every trial site in the World, and insight into which ones can deliver, unique to every trial. Pairing that reach with our AI platform at sites means the sites doing the hardest work in drug development get the tools they deserve, at a global scale that accelerates our shared vision for transforming clinical research. I'm excited to roll up my sleeves with Simon and the Ryght team."
Partnership highlights include site AI delivered through Ryght offering AI-powered patient pre-screening, consent, screening, monitoring, reporting and back-office workflows, built for Platinum sites as benefit of network participation, startup expertise with Heather Grey advising Ryght global operations, and next step to negotiate definitive licensing agreement in coming months.
