  • Rune Technologies secures $24M Series A for TyrOS deployment.

  • TyrOS uses AI to transform military logistics in contested areas.

  • Edge-first architecture enables offline decision-making.

  • Integrates with Palantir’s Defense OSDK for tactical-strategic connectivity.

  • Deployed with U.S. Army and Marine Corps, expanding to other services.

  • Total funding exceeds $30M, including February’s seed round.

Transforming Military Logistics with AI

TyrOS, Rune’s flagship platform, replaces outdated tools like whiteboards and spreadsheets with AI-driven predictive analytics. Its edge-first architecture embeds intelligence at the tactical level, allowing operations in environments with disrupted communications. “Our mission is to bring military logistics sophistication in line with the prowess of our fighting capabilities,” said David Tuttle, Co-Founder and CEO of Rune Technologies. “We've seen significant demand from across the services for a product that can replace the whiteboards and spreadsheets that are currently used to track logistics operationally. This investment will allow us to accelerate our deployment of TyrOS to sustainers across the joint force.”

Edge-First Innovation for Contested Environments

Unlike traditional systems reliant on remote servers, TyrOS processes data locally, enabling independent operations and synchronization when connectivity is restored. “Rune is solving the perennial problem of anticipating, planning and executing military logistics in dynamic, high-tempo and contested environments,” explained retired Major General Duane Gamble, former Army G4. “Throughout my 37-year career, military logisticians spent virtually all available time on the science of logistics. TyrOS leverages AI/ML and world-class engineering to do the science, freeing up logisticians and commanders to focus on the art of warfare. It’s a game changer.” This capability is critical for modern battlefields where supply lines face near-peer threats.

Strategic Partnerships and Expansion

Rune’s integration with Palantir’s Defense OSDK enhances TyrOS’s ability to connect tactical and strategic logistics, creating a unified operational picture. Selected for the Palantir Startup Fellowship, Rune is deepening its collaboration with defense tech leaders. “It’s urgent that the Department of Defense keeps modernizing its core systems and software with the best technology available — and that's Rune, automating granular work so logisticians can focus on strategic decisions,” says Ross Fubini, Managing Partner at XYZ Venture Capital. “We've invested in Rune twice in just a few months because it's clear they're making huge impact across multiple operational military units, and that this type of transformation is crucial right now.” The funding will accelerate TyrOS deployments with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps and expand to other military services.

Bridging Silicon Valley and Military Expertise

Founded by veterans David Tuttle and Peter Goldsborough, Rune combines military experience with Silicon Valley engineering. Engineers work alongside warfighters, incorporating real-time feedback to refine TyrOS. With over $30 million raised in 2025, including a $6.2 million seed round in February, Rune is poised to scale its engineering and product teams, ensuring its platform meets the evolving needs of modern warfare.

Rune’s $24 million Series A funding marks a pivotal step in modernizing military logistics. By leveraging AI and edge-first technology, TyrOS addresses critical challenges in contested environments, enhancing efficiency and resilience. With strong investor support and strategic partnerships, Rune is set to redefine how the U.S. military sustains its forces, ensuring operational readiness in high-stakes scenarios.
