  • RudderStack announced IaC-driven governance features to operationalize AI with reliable customer context.
  • In 2025, the platform processed 3.3 trillion events for more than 4,000 organizations, including AI-native companies like AssemblyAI, Otter.ai, N8N, Replicate, and Warp.
  • New capabilities include code-based tracking plans, data catalogs, and CI-driven validation for proactive data governance.
  • Enhancements to the warehouse-native Profiles product deliver 5X faster performance via Incremental Features.
  • RudderStack's real-time pipelines, identity resolution, and semantic layer empower AI, analytics, and activation use cases.
  • The warehouse remains the system of record for consistent, fresh customer data at scale.

RudderStack is positioning its customer data infrastructure as essential for the AI era, where AI agents and systems depend on high-quality, real-time customer context to perform effectively in production environments such as support, sales, onboarding, and personalization. Traditional customer data platforms often fall short in delivering the necessary trustworthiness and privacy safeguards at scale.

The company's warehouse-native architecture centralizes data governance in the existing data warehouse, ensuring all downstream systems access consistent and up-to-date customer profiles. This approach supports real-time collection from websites, apps, and backend systems, unification into comprehensive profiles, and activation across AI-driven tools, analytics platforms, and marketing activations.

Key to the update is the introduction of IaC-driven governance, which addresses data quality challenges that hinder customer-facing AI deployments. Teams can now define events, properties, and schema rules in version-controlled configuration files, enabling developer-friendly workflows.

CI-driven validation automatically checks governance changes to prevent issues in production pipelines, improving reliability and speed without compromising control.

RudderStack has also enhanced its customer 360 product, Profiles, with Incremental Features that accelerate context creation and updates by standardizing profile definitions and computations in the warehouse.

"AI has raised the bar for customer data," said Soumyadeb Mitra, Founder and CEO of RudderStack. "AI agents need fresh, trustworthy customer context. That requires real-time pipelines, proactive data governance, and a strong semantics layer. Today, we're introducing IaC-driven governance and enhancements to our customer 360 product to enable stronger guardrails and more automation for teams building AI in production."

These advancements allow data teams to confidently support AI initiatives, analytics, and activation with dependable customer context, reducing risks associated with schema changes and ensuring scalable, compliant operations.
