Independence Fuels AI Innovation

RealSense’s spinout from Intel marks a pivotal moment, enabling faster innovation in AI-driven computer vision. “We’re excited to build on our leadership position in 3D perception in robotics and see scalable growth potential in the rise of physical AI,” said Nadav Orbach, CEO of RealSense. The $50 million funding will support expansion into humanoid robotics, autonomous mobile robotics (AMRs), and AI-powered security solutions, while scaling manufacturing and global go-to-market efforts.

Powering Robotics and Biometrics

RealSense’s technology, including its acclaimed depth cameras, is embedded in 60% of the world’s AMRs and humanoid robots. The recently launched D555 depth camera, powered by the RealSense Vision SoC V5 with Power over Ethernet, strengthens its leadership in embedded vision and edge AI. The company serves over 3,000 customers worldwide, with partnerships in robotics, industrial automation, healthcare, and security, including ANYbotics, Eyesynth, Fit:Match, and Unitree Robotics.

Enhancing Human Potential Through AI

RealSense’s mission focuses on integrating AI and robotics into everyday life safely. “Our mission is to enable the world to integrate robotics and AI in everyday life safely,” said Orbach. “This technology is not about replacing human creativity or decision-making — but about removing danger and drudgery from human work.” By equipping machines with intelligent vision systems, RealSense aims to amplify human potential while ensuring safety and reliability.

Capitalizing on Market Growth

The robotics market is projected to grow from $50 billion to over $200 billion in six years, with humanoid robotics expanding at a CAGR above 40%. Facial biometrics are also gaining traction in applications like airport screening and event entry. To meet this demand, RealSense plans to expand its go-to-market team and hire additional AI, software, and robotics engineers to accelerate product development, leveraging its 80+ global patents and robust manufacturing capabilities.

RealSense’s spinout and funding position it to lead the robotics and biometrics markets. With a seasoned leadership team and cutting-edge AI vision technology, the company is set to drive the next wave of physical AI innovation, enhancing efficiency and safety across industries.
