Qlik has appointed Mark Relph, Director at Amazon Web Services (AWS), to its AI Council, bringing deep expertise in cloud ecosystems, partner strategies, and enterprise-scale AI implementation to guide practical, responsible AI adoption with governed, trusted data.
Qlik, a global leader in data integration, data quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence, announced that Mark Relph, Director at Amazon Web Services (AWS), has joined the Qlik AI Council. The council provides external expertise to shape Qlik’s product strategy and customer guidance, emphasizing practical, governed AI adoption that delivers measurable outcomes at scale.
Relph brings extensive experience at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, partner ecosystems, and enterprise AI implementation. At AWS, he collaborates with partners and internal teams to translate market requirements into scalable, repeatable solutions for customers. Throughout his tenure, he has played a key role in the launch of more than 32 AWS services, including foundational offerings such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Q.

Launched in 2024, the Qlik AI Council assembles diverse perspectives to ensure AI initiatives remain grounded in governance, accountability, and practical deployment. Alongside Relph, current members include Nina Schick (AI governance and policy), Dr. Rumman Chowdhury (applied responsible AI), Kelly Forbes (public-private collaboration), and Professor Michael Bronstein (academic AI research). This mix helps Qlik deliver solutions that organizations can trust and scale effectively.
Relph’s addition strengthens the council’s focus on cloud-native ecosystems and enterprise execution challenges, aligning with Qlik’s mission to convert complex data into actionable, governed insights.
