Primo Group, a global leader in plastic extrusion solutions, has upgraded to IFS Cloud, the composable platform from IFS, the foremost provider of Industrial AI software. This transition, announced on October 7, 2025, equips Primo with real-time insights and advanced AI capabilities to navigate volatile supply chains, fluctuating demand, and cost pressures, ultimately boosting production efficiency and accelerating time to market.
In the competitive manufacturing sector, precise data and monitoring are critical for delivering high-quality products that meet global customer expectations. Primo, an IFS customer since 2019, selected the upgrade to IFS Cloud to maintain access to cutting-edge tools that support agile supply chain management and responsive production planning. The platform's composable architecture allows for immediate adoption of innovations, including embedded IFS.ai, ensuring Primo can respond swiftly to market shifts and sustain operational momentum.

The initial rollout targets approximately 1,000 users at nine production facilities and the company's international sales headquarters, spanning eight countries, to foster unified efficiency across the organization.
IFS Cloud encompasses Primo's full operational spectrum, from back-office financials to front-line shop floor activities, including project management, procurement, warehouse operations, and document management. This holistic approach to digitalization is projected to drastically cut turnaround times, enabling faster product delivery and improved customer satisfaction. By centralizing these processes on a single, evergreen platform, Primo eliminates silos and enhances visibility, allowing for data-driven decisions that sharpen its competitive positioning.
