Phaidra, a Seattle-based company building AI agents for AI factories, announced a Series B funding round exceeding $50 million on October 1, 2025, led by Collaborative Fund. Participants include Helena, Index Ventures, NVIDIA, Sony Innovation Fund, and others. The funds will accelerate Phaidra's agent ecosystem development, deepen NVIDIA collaboration, and expand to global operators, focusing on resource-efficient AI infrastructure.
Phaidra's reinforcement learning agents orchestrate complex systems, reducing waste in AI data centers. "Every breakthrough in AI requires an ambitious breakthrough in infrastructure efficiency," said Jim Gao, CEO of Phaidra. The funding supports scaling agents for liquid cooling, chiller plants, and workload management, maximizing tokens per watt amid skyrocketing energy demands.
With prior funding from Starshot Capital ($25M Series A in 2022) and investors like Index Ventures ($12M in 2024), Phaidra's total capital reaches $60M+. "Phaidra is tackling AI's biggest bottleneck, energy consumption," said Sophie Bakalar, Partner at Collaborative Fund. The round enables Phaidra to lead in sustainable AI infrastructure.
Phaidra's Series B positions it to revolutionize AI factories, ensuring scalable, efficient operations for the energy-constrained future of intelligence.
Phaidra builds intelligent control systems for the world's most complex industrial facilities. By combining reinforcement learning and domain expertise, Phaidra helps operators achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
