Saurabh Sodani joins Pendo with more than two decades of experience in building high-performing engineering teams and leading enterprise-scale technology transformations. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Salesloft, where he spearheaded the company’s AI strategy, improving development velocity, code quality, and architectural rigor. His prior roles include senior positions at Oracle, Yahoo, and Datalogix, equipping him with deep expertise in distributed systems and AI. “Saurabh is an exceptional product and engineering leader,” said Todd Olson, CEO and co-founder of Pendo. “His background in distributed systems, AI, and organizational scale will help accelerate how we deliver innovation to our customers.”
As Chief Development Officer, Sodani will oversee Pendo’s global engineering, IT, technical support, and platform innovation, focusing on accelerating the company’s AI strategy. He will champion mission-driven team structures and promote flexible, pluggable architectures to seamlessly integrate emerging AI protocols without disrupting core systems. “Pendo has built a uniquely strong foundation for AI,” said Sodani. “The instrumentation is already in place to measure software usage across any application—SaaS, AI or agentic. Now it’s about turning data into action through agents, automation, and software experiences that drive business impact for our customers.”
Sodani will lead Pendo’s engineering teams across Raleigh, the U.K., and Israel, collaborating with the company’s broader global workforce to scale innovation. His role will be pivotal in enhancing Pendo’s Software Experience Management (SXM) platform, which enables non-engineers to analyze and act on software issues, supporting over 900 million users monthly across thousands of global companies. This strategic hire aligns with Pendo’s expansion of AI investments to meet the evolving needs of enterprises.
Pendo’s appointment of Saurabh Sodani as Chief Development Officer positions the company to lead in AI-driven software experience management. By leveraging Sodani’s expertise, Pendo aims to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that empower enterprises to optimize software usage and achieve significant business impact.
