Pegasystems Inc. has introduced Notes to Blueprint™, an AI-powered tool designed to accelerate the transformation and retirement of outdated Lotus Notes applications. Integrated with Pega Blueprint™, this solution enables enterprises to analyze legacy Lotus Notes estates, extract trapped data and processes, reimagine them as modern cloud-native workflows, and eliminate high maintenance costs associated with aging systems.
Many enterprises continue to depend on Lotus Notes and Domino for critical processes such as approvals, claims, escalations, and document management. These aging systems create significant technical debt, leading to reduced productivity, suboptimal customer experiences, and substantial ongoing costs. Modernization efforts are often hindered by poor visibility into application logic, scattered LotusScripts, and proprietary data structures.
Notes to Blueprint addresses these barriers by providing AI-driven analysis and transformation capabilities, enabling organizations to gain a complete understanding of their Lotus Notes environment and transition to agile, cloud-based solutions.
The tool securely scans Lotus Notes databases to deliver a detailed portfolio analysis, revealing application size, activity, complexity, and utility. It then extracts comprehensive functionality from NSF databases, including hidden automations and data structures.
Imported insights feed directly into Pega Blueprint, where AI design agents reimagine processes using industry best practices, automations, and intelligent orchestration. Business and IT teams collaborate to refine requirements for new cloud applications.
Data migration is streamlined through automatic mapping of document-centric structures to modern relational models, unlocking trapped data for enterprise-wide use via APIs and streams.

Pega has partnered with Capgemini to offer a full end-to-end solution on AWS Marketplace. This combines Notes to Blueprint and Pega Blueprint with Capgemini’s CAALM services, including AI-assisted legacy modernization, data migration, validation, testing, and change management.
