Nutanix Database Service (NDB) now offers certified integration with MongoDB Ops Manager, simplifying deployment, management, backup, and recovery for enterprise MongoDB environments with automated workflows and point-in-time recovery down to seconds.
Nutanix has strengthened its support for MongoDB with a new certified integration between the Nutanix Database Service (NDB) platform and MongoDB Ops Manager. This development simplifies deployment, management, and recovery for MongoDB databases in enterprise environments running at scale.
The certified integration combines Nutanix’s infrastructure automation capabilities with MongoDB Ops Manager’s database management tools. This creates a unified, policy-driven workflow that reduces manual effort across provisioning, monitoring, backup, and recovery processes. Enterprises can now streamline lifecycle management and data protection for their business-critical MongoDB deployments in hybrid multicloud setups.
Organizations can deploy production-ready MongoDB sharded clusters in minutes through automated workflows. The integration handles infrastructure allocation, configuration, and Ops Manager agent installation, eliminating the need for multiday coordination between infrastructure and database teams.
Backup and recovery operations are coordinated through MongoDB Ops Manager integration with NDB Time Machine. This enables application-aware snapshots and streamlined restore workflows. Teams can perform point-in-time recovery down to seconds by recovering from the latest snapshot and applying operations up to a specified oplog timestamp.
The solution provides comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and operational insights. MongoDB Ops Manager delivers database-level intelligence while NDB adds infrastructure visibility, allowing teams to correlate compute and storage behavior with database performance for better decision-making.
