NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and technology services, and Mistral AI, an innovator in high-performance generative AI (GenAI), announced a strategic partnership on July 29, 2025, to develop and deploy secure, private AI solutions for enterprises. This collaboration aims to foster strategic autonomy for clients in regulated sectors, leveraging NTT DATA’s extensive IT services and Mistral AI’s advanced AI models.

The partnership prioritizes sustainable and highly secure private AI solutions tailored for regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, defense, and the public sector. These solutions will operate on private clouds, ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR and the EU’s AI Act. NTT DATA and Mistral AI will provide end-to-end services, from infrastructure to AI-powered business processes, enabling organizations to maintain data privacy and sovereignty.
One early project involves Dennemeyer, a global intellectual property management firm, which selected NTT DATA and Mistral AI to develop an AI-driven application for advanced patent searches and analyses. “Dennemeyer continues to be a driving force in the digital transformation of the IP industry; a key aspect of this is strong partnerships with organizations like Mistral AI and NTT DATA,” said Brochmann Laurent, Global Chief Digital Officer, Dennemeyer.
The collaboration will integrate Mistral AI’s large language models (LLMs) into NTT DATA’s customer experience platforms, starting with agentic AI call center solutions in Europe and Asia Pacific. Future projects may include co-developing LLMs for specific languages to address local market needs. “By collaborating with a global leader in digital transformation like NTT DATA, we will bring our next-generation AI solutions into real-world business applications,” said Arthur Mensch, CEO, Mistral AI.
In Luxembourg, NTT DATA and Mistral AI are co-developing a sovereign AI platform for financial services and insurance clients, ensuring data residency and compliance. “This collaboration offers a landmark opportunity to accelerate the adoption of AI across the financial and insurance markets in Luxembourg and beyond,” said Olivier Posty, Head of France and Luxembourg, NTT DATA.
NTT DATA and Mistral AI will execute tailored go-to-market strategies in France, Luxembourg, Spain, Singapore, and Australia, supported by dedicated sales teams. These strategies will include use-case development, customization, and managed services to meet regional regulatory and market demands. To support this, NTT DATA will launch a Mistral AI Center of Excellence, and Mistral AI will provide a technical enablement and certification program for NTT DATA staff.
