Advancing AI for Physical Operations

Motive’s Integrated Operations Platform leverages AI to transform physical operations across industries like transportation, logistics, construction, and more. The $150 million funding, led by Kleiner Perkins and joined by AllianceBernstein, will accelerate the development of AI-driven features. These include driver safety, which reduces collisions by up to 80%, service verification, preventive maintenance, fraud detection, and automated coaching. According to Ilya Fushman, Partner at Kleiner Perkins, “Motive has solidified itself as a clear leader in bringing advanced AI to the physical economy.” This investment will further enhance automation, streamlining repetitive tasks and boosting productivity for customers.

Scaling Global Go-to-Market Efforts

Motive’s platform supports nearly 100,000 customers and 1.3 million drivers, serving global leaders like FedEx Freight, Cintas, and CRH. The company has seen significant enterprise growth, doubling its ARR from customers spending over $100,000 since 2024, driven by a net revenue retention rate exceeding 130%. To meet rising demand, Motive is expanding its go-to-market operations in North America, with strong growth in Mexico and Canada. The company will also launch in the UK in early August to address needs for driver safety and fleet sustainability. “This funding allows us to extend our AI leadership, enter new markets, and expand our teams to support the world’s largest and most complex operations,” said Shoaib Makani, CEO and Co-founder of Motive.

R&D and International Expansion

The new capital will fuel Motive’s R&D efforts, particularly in India, following its 2025 hiring initiative. This investment will enhance tailored capabilities for large organizations, ensuring robust customer success and support.
