Meta is significantly expanding its AI infrastructure through a deep, long-term partnership with NVIDIA, focusing on both on-premises hyperscale data centers and cloud deployments. The collaboration spans next-generation hardware, networking, software optimization, and privacy technologies to support Meta’s ambitious AI goals, including personal superintelligence and advanced personalization/recommendation systems serving billions of users.

Quick Intel

  • Meta will deploy millions of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs (current generation) and Rubin GPUs (next generation) for large-scale AI training and inference.
  • Expanded use of Arm-based NVIDIA Grace CPUs for production applications, delivering major performance-per-watt improvements; first large-scale Grace-only deployment.
  • Plans for large-scale NVIDIA Vera CPU adoption starting in 2027, further enhancing energy-efficient AI compute.
  • Adoption of NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking across Meta’s infrastructure for low-latency, high-throughput AI-scale connectivity and improved power/operational efficiency.
  • Integration of NVIDIA Confidential Computing for WhatsApp private processing, preserving user data confidentiality while enabling AI capabilities; plans to expand to other Meta use cases.
  • Deep codesign between NVIDIA and Meta engineering teams to optimize state-of-the-art AI models for Meta’s core workloads, maximizing performance and efficiency.
  • Unified architecture spans on-premises data centers and NVIDIA Cloud Partner deployments, simplifying operations while scaling AI performance.

Driving the Next Frontier of AI at Meta’s Scale

“No one deploys AI at Meta’s scale — integrating frontier research with industrial-scale infrastructure to power the world’s largest personalization and recommendation systems for billions of users,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Through deep codesign across CPUs, GPUs, networking and software, we are bringing the full NVIDIA platform to Meta’s researchers and engineers as they build the foundation for the next AI frontier.”

“We’re excited to expand our partnership with NVIDIA to build leading-edge clusters using their Vera Rubin platform to deliver personal superintelligence to everyone in the world,” said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta.

The partnership builds on prior collaboration and accelerates Meta’s transition from AI experimentation to industrial-scale deployment. By combining NVIDIA’s full-stack AI platform with Meta’s massive production workloads, the two companies aim to set new benchmarks for performance, efficiency, and privacy in AI infrastructure.
