Financial Performance: Profitability Milestone

Marchex reported GAAP revenue of $11.7 million for Q2 2025, a 3.3% decrease from $12.1 million in Q2 2024, primarily due to customer migration to the new Engage platform. However, the company achieved a net income of $0.1 million, reversing a $0.8 million loss from the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA rose to $0.6 million from $0.3 million, reaching $0.7 million excluding $0.1 million in reorganization costs. “The second quarter represented continued progress toward making 2025 an inflection point for our company,” said Edwin Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Marchex.

Engage Platform Migration Drives Efficiency

The migration of over 1,000 customers to the Engage platform, nearly complete, has caused short-term revenue dilution but is a critical step for long-term growth. “Period to period there may be some financial variability based on timing with the new Engage platform migration completion, but our technology and platform progress is leading to increasing operating and cost efficiencies,” Miller noted. This transition supports Marchex’s goal of achieving over $100 million in annualized revenue, with enhanced gross margins expected in 2026.

Strategic Partnerships Expand Market Reach

Marchex’s expanded partnership with FordDirect provides multi-year access to over 3,000 franchised dealers for its Engage for Sales and Service product. This collaboration enhances customer interaction insights, driving revenue and satisfaction in the automotive sector. Additionally, Marchex’s entry into the Microsoft Azure Marketplace opens new enterprise sales channels, supporting scalable growth.

New AI Solutions for Vertical Markets

Marchex launched healthcare-specific AI solutions, leveraging sentiment analysis to deliver compliant operational intelligence for health systems. Upcoming tools include AI Benchmarking for real-time sales insights, AgentAI Optimizer for third-party AI performance analysis, and Marchex GPT for business-specific data search, all set for release in 2025. “Marchex is one of the few public AI-powered conversational intelligence companies which is part of a transformative market opportunity and is also generating positive Adjusted EBITDA while increasing investment in customers and products,” Miller concluded.
