Lumivero, a provider of research and decision software, has acquired SharpCloud, a UK-based company specializing in interactive data visualization software for enterprise project portfolios. The acquisition expands Lumivero's decision software portfolio, enabling the integration of SharpCloud's visualization capabilities with Lumivero's Predict! and @RISK products. This combination aims to help enterprises break down data silos, understand project interdependencies, and simulate risks to make faster, more confident strategic decisions.

Lumivero CEO Gareth Morrison stated the move directly advances the company's mission: “SharpCloud directly advances our goal by solving the challenges that stand in the way of business and project success—helping customers break down data silos, understand interdependencies, and adapt to change.” By merging visualization with risk analysis and simulation, the integrated platform aims to provide a more complete view of project portfolios and strategic initiatives.
The plan is to create a unified solution by integrating SharpCloud with Lumivero's existing project portfolio management (PPM) and risk analysis tools. This combined offering will allow organizations to visualize project interdependencies, simulate and analyze risks, manage project controls, and model "what-if" scenarios. The goal is to give teams the ability to understand total risk exposure and potential outcomes across their entire project portfolio, facilitating more informed and agile executive decisions.
SharpCloud brings a specialized capability in transforming complex data into visual narratives that aid strategic alignment.
