Knightscope, Inc. the security technology company building the nation's first Autonomous Security Force, today published "Human Capabilities," the fifth field brief in its series, as the Force makes its live debut at GSX 2026, the Global Security Exchange, Booth #3905, September 14-16, 2026, at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. New field brief maps every human role in Force, on watch and behind it, from first verified alert to last person on ground.
In standard security program, humans are scattered across vendors: guards from staffing firm, monitoring from outsourced call center, technicians from whoever holds maintenance contract. Each accountable to different company, none accountable for outcome. Field brief details alternative: every human role in Force, client-facing and behind scenes, is within one company, under one Code, with no third parties between Force and clients.
On watch, client sees roles, and field brief maps six forms of licensed agents. Executive Protection Agent covers high-risk executives, events, travel under same escalation model and audit trail as rest of Force. Armed Security Agent is firearm-qualified under state law and operates under defined restraint and authority. Unarmed Security Agent licensed and vetted, on post and on patrol. Embedded Security Agent on client's premises every day, inside operation but never absorbed by it. Augmented Security Agent: any Agent equipped with Knightscope's H1 is connected to Signals and has same eyes as machines, same verified alerts, and same operational picture as Mission Intelligence.
Behind watch sits Mission Operations, operational backbone of Force: four missions, one department, fully internal. Mission Intelligence Analysts and Leads hold remote command layer, verifying every alert against digital twin of site, with accountable human in loop, 24/7. Mission Success Specialists serve as client's standing point of contact once Force goes live. Mission Reliability Specialists close technical loop from field anomaly to engineering fix, and Mission Service Technicians keep hands on machines, handling deployment, maintenance, repair, held to same standard as any agent on post.
"Machines handle the monotony, and people handle what machines cannot: judgment, de-escalation, presence, and response," said William Santana Li, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Knightscope. "Every role in the Force, from the agent on post to the analyst verifying an alert at 3 a.m., commits to same three-part Code: own the outcome, be the human in the loop, and answer the call."
That investment is structural: agents hold equity in Knightscope, Inc., receive full health benefits, and start paid training on day one, a career with growing company, not a shift.
Knightscope serves 434 clients across 42 states, and to date machines have logged more than 4.4 million autonomous hours in field.
