Intuit Inc. has announced the global rollout of specialized AI agents on its all-in-one platform, creating a more powerful and automated QuickBooks experience for customers in Canada. This launch introduces a virtual team of AI agents designed to work alongside human experts, automating essential tasks to help small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) save time, increase efficiency, and unlock growth.

Quick Intel

  • Intuit launches a team of AI agents on its platform for QuickBooks customers in Canada.

  • The AI agents automate tasks across accounting, customer management, finance, and projects.

  • Early users report saving up to 12 hours per month on day-to-day operations.

  • The launch is supported by an Intuit report showing 49% of Canadian SMB growth potential is unrealized.

  • A redesigned, personalized QuickBooks dashboard provides insights and summaries.

  • The solution combines AI automation with the ability to collaborate with human experts.

Bridging the Growth Gap with Automation

This evolution of QuickBooks addresses a significant challenge identified in a new Intuit report, "The Growth Gap." The report reveals that nearly half (49%) of small business growth potential in Canada goes unrealized due to inefficiencies and fragmented systems. Intuit's AI agents are designed to close this gap by automating time-consuming work, allowing business leaders to focus on strategic growth. The report suggests that better execution could lift revenue for the average Canadian SMB by over $178,000 annually.

The Virtual AI Team in Action

The platform now features a proactive team of AI agents, each specializing in a key business area. These agents work together to handle repetitive tasks and surface intelligent insights directly within the QuickBooks workflow. The available agents include the Accounting Agent for automated bookkeeping, the Customer Agent for finding and engaging leads from a user's inbox, the Finance Agent for comprehensive financial summaries, and the Project Management Agent to accelerate project setup. A Sales Tax AI Agent is also announced for a future release.

A Reimagined Platform Experience

These 'done-for-you' experiences are delivered through a completely redesigned QuickBooks web layout. The new homepage features a personalized dashboard with customizable widgets and a business feed that shows real-time insights and summarizes the work completed by the AI agents. This provides business owners with greater visibility and control, enabling smarter, faster decisions.

“Automation where it counts, human where it matters; that is the balance we have built into the reimagined QuickBooks experience,” said Puja Subrun, Vice President at Intuit Canada-LATAM. “Combining our AI agents and collaboration with trusted experts all in one place will deliver real-time, personalized, and actionable insights, to help businesses move faster, operate smarter, and uncover greater efficiencies.”

According to Intuit's study, 80% of Canadian SMB leaders believe AI could help them delegate more effectively while maintaining oversight. This reflects what the company terms the "AI Dividend"—the productivity and confidence regained when technology automates routine work. The introduction of AI agents on the Intuit platform represents a significant step in empowering Canadian businesses to capture their full growth potential by streamlining operations and providing data-driven clarity.
