Infosys launches a new AI-First model for Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
The offering accelerates the setup and AI transformation of GCCs for enterprises.
It integrates Infosys Topaz, the Agentic Foundry, and EdgeVerve AI Next platforms.
Key capabilities include end-to-end setup, AI-powered innovation, and talent development.
The model is built on experience from over 100 GCC engagements with global firms.
It aims to turn GCCs into scalable innovation engines for delivering global mandates.
The AI-First GCC Model delivers comprehensive support throughout the entire GCC lifecycle. This includes strategic development, site selection, entity setup, recruitment, and operational launch. It offers right-fit operating models such as Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), assisted builds, and joint ventures. This structured approach is designed to de-risk the process of scaling or transforming a GCC, providing enterprises with a clear and managed path to establishing a robust global capability.
A core differentiator of the new model is the integration of Infosys's leading AI platforms. It brings together the Infosys Agentic Foundry for building production-grade AI agents, EdgeVerve AI Next as a unified platform for applied AI, and Infosys Topaz to infuse AI-first services across the GCC's operations. This unified "platform fabric" enables clients to embed enterprise-grade AI capabilities directly into their GCCs, driving cost efficiency, faster time-to-market, and the creation of new business opportunities.
Recognizing that talent is critical to success, the model leverages Infosys's extensive learning infrastructure to ensure a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals. This includes utilizing the Infosys Springboard digital learning platform and the company's corporate university to upskill and reskill talent tailored to specific enterprise needs. This focus on future-ready talent ensures that GCCs are equipped to handle evolving technological demands and drive continuous innovation.
"As enterprises transform GCCs into strategic hubs, Infosys is ready to accelerate their journey," said Satish H.C, EVP and Chief Delivery Officer at Infosys. "Our AI-first approach, comprehensive GCC lifecycle capabilities, and global delivery excellence, uniquely position us to help clients unlock new value."
Stefanie Neumann, CEO of Lufthansa Systems, a client, stated, "Our collaboration with Infosys to establish a dedicated Global Capability Center has been a pivotal step in digital transformation journey of Lufthansa Systems. By leveraging their strong GCC and AI capabilities, we are building a future-ready innovation hub."
