Indium, an AI-driven digital engineering firm based in Cupertino, California, and Chennai, India, announced the appointment of Ram Khizamboor as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). This strategic move aims to bolster Indium’s global delivery capabilities and accelerate its AI-first transformation agenda for enterprise clients.
Ram Khizamboor brings over 30 years of global IT leadership, having spearheaded complex transformation programs for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. At LTIMindtree, he served as Chief Delivery Officer, managing client delivery across global centers, talent supply chains, employee engagement, leadership development, and strategic initiatives like mergers and acquisitions. His prior roles at Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Target, and Danske IT equipped him with extensive experience in managing high-performance teams at global system integrators and capability centers.
“I am excited to join Indium, a company synonymous with high levels of customer satisfaction and employee delight,” said Khizamboor. “With its AI-first strategy and strong growth momentum, Indium is well-positioned to shape clients’ transformation agendas.”
As part of this transition, Jagannath Bharadwaj, the former COO, will take on the role of Chief Business Officer – Partnerships and Consulting, based in the U.S. Bharadwaj will focus on expanding Indium’s domain and technology capabilities through global partnerships, aligning with the company’s AI-first mission. This follows Bharadwaj’s appointment as COO in September 2023, highlighting Indium’s dynamic leadership strategy.
“As Indium expands its client relationships through an AI-first approach, we wanted to materially scale our delivery engine,” said Ram Sukumar, Co-founder and CEO of Indium. “Ram Khizamboor’s vast experience will enable us to enhance operational excellence and accelerate our high-growth journey.”
Indium, with over 5,000 global associates, specializes in Generative AI, Product Engineering, Data & AI, Intelligent Automation, Quality Engineering, and Gaming. The appointment aligns with Indium’s goal to deliver high-impact solutions for Fortune 500 and global enterprises across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, Japan, and India. The company’s focus on AI-driven innovation is evident in its partnerships, such as with Mendix, AWS, and Striim, and its 35% CAGR revenue growth over the past three years.
The appointment reflects Indium’s response to the growing demand for AI-driven digital engineering, with the global AI market projected to reach $1.8 trillion by 2030. Khizamboor’s expertise in scaling delivery for large enterprises positions Indium to capitalize on this growth, competing with firms like LTIMindtree and Cognizant.
