Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) today unveiled a range of new networking and compute solutions ahead of Mobile World Congress 2026, designed to accelerate modernization for service providers and enable them to capitalize on high-growth AI opportunities. These innovations deliver low-latency, high-capacity, AI-native infrastructure from core to edge, helping customers build and operate their own secure AI environments while simplifying management and enhancing performance.

“AI infrastructure is a critical growth driver for service providers. More than ever, HPE is committed to helping these customers lead in the AI era by building intelligent, next-generation networks that can support complex operations, rising data traffic, and the transformative capabilities of AI,” said Rami Rahim, executive vice president, president and general manager, Networking, HPE. “With high-performing infrastructure; simplified ease of management across compute, storage, and networking; and built-in security, HPE is helping customers virtualize and modernize their networks, simplify operations, and create new, higher-value services and advanced AI capabilities.”

The announcements build on HPE’s integration of Juniper Networks, combining strengths in large-scale service provider infrastructure, networking, compute, security, and cloud to deliver secure, high-performing, AI-native networks with proactive issue resolution and cloud-like agility.

Quick Intel

  • HPE expands service provider strategy with new Juniper PTX Series routers featuring Express 5 ASIC for 49% better power efficiency and ultra-high density.
  • New PTX12000 modular routers scale to 518.4T capacity with 800G ports, enabling seamless AI and cloud traffic growth.
  • PTX10002 fixed routers offer 28.8T throughput in 2RU form factor with flexible 100G/400G/800G ports for efficient AI cluster scaling.
  • Juniper Routing Director becomes agentic-AI ready for automated WAN issue resolution and operations optimization.
  • HPE ProLiant EL9000 chassis and EL140 Gen12 server double fronthaul bandwidth and increase core count by 20% with Intel Xeon 6 SoC and vRAN Boost.
  • HPE Cloud Ops Software unifies virtualization, containers, AIOps, observability, and FinOps for cost-effective, secure multi-tenant private clouds.

Advanced Networking Solutions for AI Workloads

HPE’s updated data center and routing portfolio supports aggressive scaling of network fabrics for AI-driven traffic. The Juniper PTX12000 line of modular routers provides ultra-dense 800G port density on 1.6T-ready platforms, scaling up to 345.6T in the 8-slot PTX12008 and 518.4T in the 12-slot PTX12012. These routers maintain low-latency performance, reduce power consumption, and lower operational costs while preserving architectural consistency.

The Juniper PTX10002 fixed routers deliver high-density routing in a compact 2RU design, with options for 28.8T or 14.4T throughput and multi-rate ports, optimizing space, power, and connectivity for AI fabrics and WAN expansion.

Juniper Routing Director now supports agentic AI integration, allowing connection to custom AI co-pilots for rapid WAN routing fixes, workflow automation, and simplified post-deployment operations.

Compute Innovations for 5G and AI Deployments

HPE introduces the ProLiant Compute EL9000 chassis and EL140 Gen12 server, featuring 72 CPU cores, 24 network ports per server, and up to two servers per chassis in 2U. Powered by Intel Xeon 6 with integrated AI acceleration including vRAN Boost and AMX, it doubles fronthaul bandwidth and handles increased network traffic efficiently while incorporating built-in HPE security for compliance.

Integration of the Juniper Cloud Native Router on HPE ProLiant DL110 (1U) and EL140 Gen12 (2U) servers consolidates RAN and compute functions, eliminating dedicated routing hardware at cell sites and reducing costs and energy usage.

Unified Cloud Management for Modernization

HPE Cloud Ops Software provides an integrated stack for virtualization, containers, full-stack observability, AIOps, cyber resiliency, DevOps automation, and FinOps across multicloud environments. It offers a single control plane to modernize private clouds, reduce hypervisor dependency, and enable secure, multi-tenant AI-driven services at scale.

HPE Financial Services introduces the 90/9 Advantage financing program—no payments for the first 90 days, followed by 1% monthly lease payments for the next 9 months—available across networking, compute, storage, and software to ease AI and modernization investments.

These solutions position service providers to meet rising AI demands, lower operational risks, control costs, and launch new revenue-generating services through secure, autonomous connectivity.
