Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced a significant expansion of its retail technology portfolio, introducing enhanced AI-driven networking, analytics, and compute solutions designed to deliver always-on operations. Unveiled at NRF 2026: Retail’s Big Show, the new and updated offerings aim to provide retailers with a unified infrastructure that combines resilient connectivity, self-driving operations, and fault-tolerant computing to support critical transactions and modern customer experiences from the edge to the core.

  • HPE has expanded its retail portfolio with new AI-native networking and enhanced fault-tolerant compute solutions.

  • New 8-port models in the HPE Aruba Networking CX 6000 Switch Series offer flexible, silent deployment for checkout and IoT.

  • AI-driven insights are expanded via integration between the Mist AI Marvis assistant and Juniper Premium Analytics.

  • HPE Nonstop Compute NS9 X5 and NS5 X5 solutions deliver higher performance and enhanced data protection for core systems.

  • All solutions are available as-a-service through the HPE GreenLake cloud platform.

  • The enhancements target improved reliability, security, and actionable AI insights across retail operations.

Building a Unified Foundation for Retail

HPE's expanded portfolio is designed to address the critical need for uptime and security in modern retail. The strategy connects self-driving network capabilities at the edge with fault-tolerant compute at the core, creating a cohesive data fabric. “In modern retail, a single lost transaction is a lost customer or a damaged reputation,” said Sujai Hajela, EVP & GM, Campus & Branch, HPE. “This unified foundation combines key HPE solutions to help retailers deliver continuous operations and consistent performance at scale.”

Enhancing Edge Connectivity and User Assurance

At the network edge, HPE is introducing new compact 8-port models of the Aruba Networking CX 6000 Switch Series. These switches provide increased Power over Ethernet capacity to support modern POS systems, IoT devices, and sensors, enabling services like digital signage and edge analytics. For user assurance, HPE Aruba Networking User Experience Insight now supports Wi-Fi 7, acting as an early warning system to identify network issues before they impact customers and protect revenue.

Expanding AI-Native Business Insights

HPE is deepening its AI-native analytics by integrating the Marvis virtual network assistant with HPE Juniper Networking Premium Analytics. This integration brings location intelligence and network performance data into Marvis's natural language interface. The move is designed to help IT, operations, and marketing teams transition from reactive troubleshooting to proactive decision-making, optimizing store layouts and improving customer experiences based on actionable data.

Advancing Core Compute with HPE Nonstop

For mission-critical backend operations, HPE has enhanced its Nonstop Compute portfolio. The new NS9 X5 and NS5 X5 solutions offer up to 15% more performance capacity and can scale to support up to 4,000 nodes to handle growing transaction volumes and data-rich applications like real-time analytics. Enhanced data protection through Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) is included to help secure sensitive customer information and meet compliance requirements.

By deploying this integrated stack, retailers gain a future-ready infrastructure designed to support digital and AI transformation. The solutions provide the scalability to add new stores and devices, the intelligence to simplify operations, and the uncompromising availability needed for high-volume omnichannel services, aiming to build trust in an era where every transaction and customer experience is critical.
