The Enterprise Technology Association (ETA) has launched AIReadyAmerica.org, a national initiative focused on accelerating AI workforce readiness and economic development efforts across the United States. The announcement was made during the US AI Congress, where government officials, technology leaders, and policy experts gathered to discuss the growing impact of AI on the economy, workforce, and society.
According to ETA, the initiative is designed to support businesses, workers, and communities adapting to the rapid pace of AI transformation, particularly those outside traditional technical and AI-native roles.
The Enterprise Technology Association announced the launch of AIReadyAmerica.org as part of broader efforts to strengthen AI education, workforce enablement, and economic development initiatives across the country.
The launch comes amid increasing concerns around widening AI skills gaps and the broader economic implications of rapid AI adoption across industries.
"This effort is designed to serve the 90% of Americans who aren't coders, or developers, or AI native; but have jobs affected or impacted by AI. This effort is designed to enable businesses on main street America that want to thrive in the AI economy. This effort is about Americans, not about AI," said ETA chairman Zack Huhn.
The organization says the platform is intended to make AI resources and workforce enablement tools more accessible to businesses, educators, economic development organizations, and individual learners.
According to ETA, AIReadyAmerica.org was developed to address three primary goals:
The platform is designed to support organizations and communities navigating AI transformation while helping businesses identify practical opportunities for AI adoption and workforce development.
At the center of the platform is the National AI Accelerator, a program focused on fast-tracking AI education and implementation efforts across multiple sectors.
Unlike traditional startup accelerators, the National AI Accelerator is designed to help organizations build AI-ready teams, operational frameworks, and community-level AI strategies.
Selected participants receive access to peer collaboration, partner support, implementation frameworks, and operational guidance designed to support AI adoption initiatives.
The first accelerator cohort includes organizations spanning universities, research institutions, private businesses, and state agencies.
ETA stated that organizations can apply to the National AI Accelerator through eight specialized tracks designed to address different operational and economic needs.
The available tracks include:
Supports early-stage companies building AI-native products or integrating AI into growth strategies.
Focused on owner-operated businesses exploring initial AI use cases and practical AI implementation.
Designed for scaling organizations managing AI strategy, vendor selection, workforce readiness, and operational integration.
Supports large enterprises managing AI governance, enterprise transformation, and large-scale deployment initiatives.
Helps mission-driven organizations leverage AI to improve operational efficiency and community impact.
Supports federal, state, and local agencies advancing responsible AI adoption within public sector operations.
Designed for universities, national labs, and research organizations translating AI innovation into economic impact.
Focused on collaborative AI initiatives involving governments, institutions, economic development organizations, and private sector partners.
The national initiative follows ETA’s recent expansion of AI Ready Ohio, a statewide AI workforce development effort launched in collaboration with JobsOhio.
The Ohio program includes AI certification initiatives, statewide AI roundtable discussions, advisory support systems, and a forthcoming online portal aimed at expanding AI upskilling access.
ETA says the broader AIReadyAmerica.org platform builds on lessons learned through regional workforce and economic development programs while scaling AI readiness efforts nationally.
The organization believes long-term competitiveness in the AI economy will depend not only on technical innovation, but also on making AI education and workforce transition resources accessible to a wider segment of the population.
