EdgeMode, a global energy and AI data center infrastructure company, released a strategic video update from CEO Charlie Faulkner highlighting accelerated progress, significant expansion in its AI data center portfolio in Spain, and strong market demand for large-scale AI infrastructure following its January joint venture agreement with BlackBerry AIF.
In the video update, Charlie Faulkner emphasized EdgeMode's swift advancement across its Spanish development pipeline, which targets the escalating need for next-generation AI compute capacity in Europe. The joint venture with BlackBerry AIF has enabled accelerated activities, positioning the company well ahead of initial projections just months after the agreement.
The company is experiencing heightened strategic engagement from technology partners, infrastructure investors, and potential customers seeking multi-gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure solutions.
EdgeMode's core strategy involves securing critical elements—land control, scalable power infrastructure, fiber connectivity, and necessary permits—to bring large-scale data center sites to Ready-to-Build status. These power-secured campuses are designed specifically for high-density AI and high-performance computing workloads.
Once RTB status is achieved, projects are transferred to specialized infrastructure investors and operators for construction and ongoing management, allowing EdgeMode to focus on origination and development.
Mr. Faulkner highlighted exceptional support from municipal governments and local authorities in Spain, describing it as a major positive driver for project success and long-term viability.
“The last several months have been an important period for EdgeMode,” said Charlie Faulkner, CEO of EdgeMode. “Since completing our agreement with BlackBerry AIF in January, we have made meaningful progress across our development pipeline and are seeing growing interest from partners and potential customers looking to secure AI infrastructure capacity in Europe. We have also been very encouraged by the strong level of support and collaboration we are receiving from municipal governments in Spain, which has been extremely positive for the development of our projects.”
The update underscores the massive opportunity in AI infrastructure, driven by global demand for secure, scalable capacity. EdgeMode is prioritizing the advancement of development milestones in Spain, deepening strategic relationships, and expanding its opportunity pipeline to capitalize on this trend.
The company anticipates providing additional updates as key milestones are reached and commercial partnerships progress.
This strategic momentum positions EdgeMode as an emerging player in the rapidly expanding AI data center and energy infrastructure sector.
