EnterpriseDB (EDB), the leading sovereign AI and data company, has launched "AI & Data Horizons: The Sovereign Future," a new podcast series that delves into how AI and data are reshaping industries, society, and competitive landscapes. Hosted by Michael Gale, a Wall Street Journal best-selling author and top-ranked AI influencer, the series brings together visionaries, technologists, and innovators from boardrooms, stadiums, classrooms, and labs to discuss practical strategies for sovereign AI deployment.
The podcast series emphasizes deliberate strategies over mere narratives around data and AI sovereignty, showcasing leaders who architect real-world applications. Guests connect transformative realities with opportunities and tensions in a data-driven landscape, from global-scale healthcare innovations to performance optimization in sports, underscoring the need for proactive change in exponential environments.
The launch features "AI-Powered Care Delivery at Global Scale" with GE Healthcare CEO Peter Arduini, who discusses leveraging vast datasets for insights, noting that a single U.S. hospital generates about 50 petabytes of data annually—more than the Library of Congress—with less than 25% utilized. Another episode, "Provoking Change in the Age of AI," features Deloitte strategists Steven Goldbach and Geoff Tuff, exploring how leaders must create advantages ahead of disruption curves.
Future episodes will include executives from Formula 1 racing and the NFL, Jeremy Dale, CEO of Birmingham City Football Club, Michael Schrage of the MIT Media Lab, futurist and author Faisal Hoque, digital transformation pioneer Charlene Li, futurist Amy Webb, and leadership expert John Kotter. These discussions will cover education's future, data-driven performance, and AI ethics, illustrating sovereign AI's practical applications across sectors.
“Despite the buzz, data and AI sovereignty is still more storytelling than strategy,” said Gale. “The leaders featured in AI & Data Horizons aren’t louder—they’re just more deliberate. Each episode shows what it takes to turn ambition into architecture and hype into an engine for agentic scale.”
“We’re moving from a time dictated by linear change to one dictated by exponential change. When you only react once, it’s obvious it’s already too late. Leaders have to provoke change—to create advantage before the curve, not after it,” said Tuff in his episode with Goldbach.
Grounded in EDB's Sovereignty Matters study, the series demonstrates how turning insights into action defines the sovereign future of AI and data, empowering organizations to maintain control in secure, compliant environments.
