Domo has announced a new AI orchestration framework designed to help businesses operationalize artificial intelligence by connecting AI agents with trusted enterprise data and workflows.
Domo’s new framework addresses the challenge of moving beyond isolated AI pilots to coordinated systems that operate in production environments. The Domo AI and Data Products Platform provides a centralized environment for building and managing AI agents that leverage governed business data. At the core is the Domo AI Library, a central hub for curating and managing AI solutions, scheduled for availability this summer.
Within the AI Library, users can utilize the AI Agent Builder to create conversational agents or agentic workflows tailored to specific business use cases. AI Toolkits serve as packaged sets of capabilities that define what an agent can do, combining tools, data, workflows, instructions, and business context. These reusable toolkits enable agents to take on specialized roles, such as financial analyst or operations manager. Toolkits can be created by customers, provided by Domo, or connected to external services, and can be exposed externally through MCP.
“This week at Domopalooza we’re sharing more than 200 Domo AI use cases from our customers’ live production environments. The tools we’ve announced will help users build AI agents connected to trusted enterprise data and workflows, turning AI from an abstract capability into something that actually drives business outcomes.” said Josh James, founder and CEO of Domo.
“Domo is the foundation for how we’re operationalizing AI for business intelligence across our organization,” said Marcus Wilkins, Lead Data Scientist at InformData. “By bringing our data and workflows into a single, connected environment, it gives us the control and context we need to build reliably. On top of that, we’re using GenAI in decision layers within our workflows to determine what data to use and how results move forward. The result is a system where insights can be trusted, reused, and applied consistently across teams.”
The Domo MCP Server extends Domo AI Toolkits and agents to external AI platforms through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This allows AI assistants such as Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT to securely interact with Domo data, services, and workflows. Through MCP, external AI tools can query datasets, trigger workflows, create dashboards, configure alerts, and more. Unlike traditional integrations that return simple text, Domo’s implementation enables rendering of interactive business experiences, such as dashboards with filters and drilldowns, directly inside chat interfaces.
These capabilities support Domo’s vision of the Intelligent Enterprise, where people orchestrate AI agents and data systems to improve decision-making and accelerate business outcomes. The platform acts as a coordination layer that connects data across systems, establishes shared semantic context, and deploys AI-driven automation while maintaining consistent governance.
