Docusign has announced the appointment of Graham Sheldon as Chief Product Officer, reinforcing the company’s focus on advancing Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) and accelerating AI-driven innovation across enterprise agreement workflows. Sheldon will officially assume the role on July 6 and will oversee product, design and user research functions.
The appointment comes as Docusign continues expanding its Intelligent Agreement Management platform and strengthening its position in AI-powered agreement automation and enterprise workflow management.
As Chief Product Officer, Sheldon will lead Docusign’s efforts to evolve how enterprises create, manage and analyze agreements across the entire lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to post-signature insights and automation.
Docusign currently serves more than 1.8 million customers and over a billion users globally. The company has also been expanding its AI ecosystem through integrations and MCP server connectors with platforms including Anthropic Claude, Gemini and OpenAI ChatGPT.
The company positions its Intelligent Agreement Management platform as a centralized system for managing enterprise agreements across sales, procurement, legal, HR and finance operations.
"Graham is exactly the kind of leader who can take what we've built and propel it into its next chapter," said Allan Thygesen, Chief Executive Officer of Docusign. "Our customers trust us with their most critical business processes. Graham's proven ability to build category-defining platforms at massive scale — and his deep expertise in AI and agentic automation — makes him the ideal person to lead our product vision forward."
Sheldon joins Docusign with more than two decades of experience leading enterprise software and AI product initiatives. Most recently, he served as Chief Product Officer at UiPath, where he led the company’s transition from robotic process automation to agentic automation and business orchestration.
During his tenure, UiPath introduced what it described as the industry’s first enterprise-grade agentic automation platform, supporting more than 10,000 organizations globally. The company also received recognition from TIME Best Inventions under Sheldon’s product leadership.
Before UiPath, Sheldon spent over 20 years at Microsoft, where he played a key role in launching and scaling Microsoft Teams to more than 300 million users. He also led product and engineering initiatives across Microsoft Dynamics, Bing and Office and served as a technical advisor to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
Docusign’s IAM platform continues to be one of the company’s fastest-growing offerings, with approximately 40,000 customers to date. The platform is designed to help enterprises streamline agreement workflows, accelerate sales cycles, simplify contract negotiations and improve onboarding processes through AI-powered automation and centralized agreement management.
"Docusign has achieved something rare in the technology industry: the deep, lasting trust of the world's largest enterprises," Sheldon said. "Business runs on agreements. Every promise made, every deal struck, every enterprise built rests on them. Yet that work is often scattered across disconnected tools, draining time, money, and attention. Docusign is in a unique position to do this at scale and with the trust our customers expect. I'm excited to lead the next chapter of Intelligent Agreement Management."
The appointment also reflects Docusign’s continued focus on integrating AI, agentic automation and enterprise workflow intelligence into its platform strategy as organizations increasingly adopt AI-driven business operations.
Docusign stated that agreements remain central to enterprise operations, and the company’s platform provides contextual visibility into agreement history, workflows and organizational relationships. By combining AI capabilities with agreement data, the company aims to help enterprises automate workflows and unlock operational insights more effectively.
The company also acknowledged the contributions of former Chief Product Officer Dmitri Krakovsky, who departed Docusign at the end of May.
"Dmitri played a pivotal role in transforming and executing on Docusign's product strategy in his tenure as Chief Product Officer," said Thygesen. "I am personally grateful for his dedication and leadership. The foundation he built will continue to benefit our customers for years to come."
As enterprise adoption of AI-powered workflow automation accelerates, Docusign’s leadership transition signals its continued investment in product innovation, intelligent automation and scalable enterprise agreement management.
