Datavault AI has announced the appointment of Frank Deo as Chief Technology Officer of its Acoustic Sciences Division. Deo assumes engineering leadership of the division, which develops the Company's ADIO, WiSA, Event Citadel, and API Media technologies for spatial audio, data-over-sound signaling, and live-event systems.

Deo brings 30+ years of experience building large-scale media, data, and platform technologies at Imagine Communications, 605, Cadent, Johnson & Johnson, and Comcast.
He is a Technical Emmy Award winner and inventor on 31 issued U.S. and international patents.
Deo previously served as VP of New Media Technology at API Media, leading product engineering for the ADIO platform.
His mandate includes unifying the division's engineering stack across four operating companies, expanding AI-assisted development tools, and standardizing engineering processes.
The division is being evaluated for a potential dividend spin-out into a stand-alone public company, subject to board and regulatory approvals.

Deo assumes engineering leadership of the Acoustic Sciences Division, the Datavault AI business that develops the Company's ADIO®, WiSA®, Event Citadel™, and API Media technologies for spatial audio, data-over-sound signaling, and live-event systems. He has served as Vice President of New Media Technology at API Media, where he led product engineering for the ADIO platform, and reports to David Reese, President of the Acoustic Sciences Division.
In the role, Deo's mandate is to unify the division's engineering stack across its acquired operations, expand the use of AI-assisted development tools, and standardize engineering processes across teams. Objectives include the simplification of underlying architecture and the lowering of operating costs as the division scales.

The appointment builds out the leadership of the division that Datavault AI is evaluating for a potential dividend spin-out into a stand-alone public company, as the Company disclosed on May 7, 2026. As stated in that disclosure, the proposed transaction remains subject to approval by the Company's board of directors, a definitive agreement, satisfaction of closing conditions, and any regulatory approvals that may be required.
