Cyera, the leading AI Security Platform, has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of Brandon Sweeney as President. This move, along with additional senior appointments and promotions, strengthens operational rigor and global go-to-market capabilities as the company—now valued at $9 billion following its recent Series F funding—prepares for its next phase of accelerated growth and enterprise-scale AI security adoption.

Quick Intel

  • Brandon Sweeney appointed President to evolve Cyera’s global go-to-market, customer success, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Shira Azran named Chief Legal Officer to lead global legal strategy and governance.
  • Joseph Iantosca elevated to Chief Financial Officer, focusing on financial operations and infrastructure scale.
  • Sharon Shaked promoted to Chief People Officer to drive global talent strategy and culture at scale.
  • Leadership expansion follows 3.4x growth over the past year and $9 billion valuation post-Series F.
  • Cyera addresses rising enterprise demand for unified AI security across data, access, and models.

“Cyera has reached a phase where leadership depth and operational rigor are as important as continued innovation,” said Yotam Segev, Co-founder and CEO of Cyera.

Brandon Sweeney’s Role and Background

As President, Sweeney will lead the evolution of Cyera’s global go-to-market organization, enhancing customer success programs and ensuring tight alignment between product, sales, and partner ecosystems to meet the needs of large-scale enterprise customers. With over 30 years of experience scaling technology companies, Sweeney most recently served as President and COO at dbt Labs, guiding the company through rapid expansion and a multi-billion-dollar merger agreement. Prior to that, he was Chief Revenue Officer at HashiCorp during its IPO and spent 16 years at VMware in various senior leadership roles as the company grew its global presence.

“I’ve spent my career helping technology companies navigate moments of rapid growth, and I’ve long admired teams that combine innovation with operational excellence,” added Sweeney. “Cyera is redefining data and AI security, and I’m thrilled to join the team and help scale the business in a way that supports customers, partners, and employees for the long term.”

Broader Executive Leadership Expansion

Cyera has also strengthened its executive team to support sustained scale and long-term readiness:

  • Shira Azran, Chief Legal Officer — Azran leads Cyera’s global legal function, overseeing governance, compliance, and strategic transactions. With more than 25 years of experience, she was a senior partner at Meitar, Israel’s leading law firm, advising tech companies on financings, M&A, and corporate strategy. Azran has advised Cyera since its founding.
  • Joseph Iantosca, Chief Financial Officer — Iantosca continues to lead finance and financial strategy, with a focus on building the operational infrastructure required for a global enterprise. He previously served as COO at BetterCloud and held finance leadership roles at Palantir during its transformation into a global enterprise.
  • Sharon Shaked, Chief People Officer — Shaked drives global people strategy, emphasizing culture cohesion, talent acquisition, development, and retention amid rapid regional and team expansion. Before Cyera, she built and scaled partnership-oriented organizations aligned with business growth objectives.

“We’re building Cyera with a long-term view,” added Segev. “Investing in experienced leadership across the company ensures we’re prepared for the many chapters ahead.”
