Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) has appointed Fumi Takei as Vice President and Head of Japan as the company strengthens its presence in one of its most strategic global markets.
The appointment comes as Colt DCS continues expanding its AI-ready and hyperscale data centre infrastructure in Japan, where the company currently operates 134 MW of IT capacity and has an additional 200 MW under development.
As Vice President and Head of Japan, Fumi Takei will oversee Colt DCS’ strategic growth initiatives in the country while aligning local operations with the company’s global business strategy.
The role includes leading engagement with customers, regulators, partners, and key stakeholders across Japan’s digital infrastructure ecosystem. Colt DCS stated that the position is critical to ensuring effective execution of its long-term expansion plans in the region.
Japan continues to be a major market for hyperscale and AI infrastructure investments as demand for high-capacity data centres accelerates across Asia-Pacific.
Takei brings more than 18 years of experience across real estate investment, infrastructure, and capital markets. Her career includes leadership roles across global investment firms and digital infrastructure platforms, providing experience in managing complex international business environments.
Colt DCS stated that her expertise will support the company’s continued expansion strategy as organizations increase investment in AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and digital transformation initiatives.
