The vision of the AI-driven, composable enterprise is advancing with new technological foundations. Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence, has unveiled major platform innovations designed to empower businesses to reinvent and continuously improve their operations by integrating AI agents directly into their core processes.

  • Celonis announced major updates to its Process Intelligence Platform at Celosphere 2025.

  • The innovations focus on creating a multimodal digital twin of business operations.

  • New capabilities include an Orchestration Engine to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems.

  • The platform introduces a Process Intelligence MCP Server to provide context to AI agents.

  • It enhances data integration from sources like data lakes, desktop actions, and unstructured data.

  • Technology partners are using the platform to build composable AI solutions and new business models.

Building a Multimodal Digital Twin

A core enhancement is the evolution of the Process Intelligence Graph into a more comprehensive multimodal digital twin. This allows customers to integrate a wider variety of data types more quickly and without duplication. Key features enabling this include Celonis Data Core for zero-copy integration with data lakes like Databricks, enhanced Task Mining to connect desktop actions to business processes, and the ability to incorporate unstructured data and enterprise architecture blueprints. This creates a richer, more accurate real-time model of how a business actually operates.

Enabling AI-Driven Operations

On top of this digital twin, Celonis provides advanced capabilities to analyze, design, and operate autonomous processes. The platform introduces new object-centric process mining (OCPM) capabilities to identify issues at critical process intersection points. Furthermore, the Orchestration Engine, now generally available, is extended to coordinate AI agents alongside people and existing systems. A key innovation is the launch of the world’s first Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for process intelligence, which feeds AI agents the dynamic operational context they need to make relevant decisions and take effective actions.

The Composable Solution Ecosystem

These platform capabilities serve as a foundation for technology partners to build specialized, composable solutions. Examples include Rollio's Process Collaboration Agent that resolves process exceptions by bringing together the right people and context, Trullion's AI agent that automates complex lease accounting by interpreting contracts, and Bloomfilter's Agent Miner app that helps companies govern the behavior of AI agents as they write code.

“To truly operationalize AI, you need to identify the right use cases, redesign your business processes, and orchestrate the agents alongside your people and existing systems," said Daniel Brown, Chief Product Officer at Celonis. "Our enhanced capabilities empower our customers and their partners to build AI solutions that lift their operations to unprecedented levels of efficiency and agility.”

These innovations position the Celonis platform as a central nervous system for the enterprise, capable of not only diagnosing operational inefficiencies but also actively orchestrating AI-driven solutions to resolve them.
