Castine, a global leader in commission and research management solutions, has announced a transformative upgrade to its Research Management System (RMS) on July 24, 2025, integrating over 100 million financial instrument data elements. This enhancement, following the acquisition of Paris-based ResearchPool, redefines how asset managers access and leverage financial intelligence.
The upgraded RMS serves asset managers worldwide, enabling them to organize, tag, and extract value from internal research and content from hundreds of brokers and research providers. The system’s expanded central repository now fully integrates with Microsoft Office, allowing users to tag and catalog documents at creation, improving search efficiency and accuracy across the platform.
“We’re moved beyond simply managing research, we’re creating a living, breathing ecosystem where every datapoint contributes to a broader intelligence network,” said Robin Hodgkins, President of Castine Consulting LLC. “With these new capabilities, and our expanded data library, Castine RMS is now positioned as the ‘command center’ for next-generation research operations.”
The RMS adapts to each user’s unique research methodology, business rules, and relationship network, moving away from rigid software structures. This personalization streamlines workflows, acting as a digital extension of the user’s analytical process, and enhances decision-making for investment professionals.
New features include fund holdings views and interactive corporate hierarchy diagrams, offering unprecedented transparency into complex financial structures. These tools allow users to visualize parent-subsidiary connections with intuitive clarity, reshaping the investment decision-making process for greater precision and insight.
“This has been a true team achievement, showcasing the strengths of our long-standing group and the expanded capabilities we now offer as part of the Castine family,” said Castine Director Pedro Fernandes, former President of ResearchPool, who led the design and architecture of the RMS suite.
The RMS upgrade was developed through a collaborative effort across Castine’s teams in France, Portugal, and Argentina, leveraging the acquisition of ResearchPool to enhance functionality. This milestone reinforces Castine’s 30-year legacy of delivering innovative solutions to over 500 asset managers and 2,000 research providers globally.
Castine’s upgraded RMS positions it as a pivotal tool for asset managers, driving efficiency and intelligence in research operations while supporting the evolving needs of the financial services industry.
