Cursor has appointed Brian McCarthy, former President and Chief Revenue Officer at Rubrik, as President of Global Revenue and Field Operations to lead the company’s worldwide go-to-market strategy and support accelerated enterprise adoption of its AI-powered software development platform.

McCarthy’s extensive background in enterprise software sales, operations, and revenue leadership positions him to drive Cursor’s next phase of global expansion as adoption accelerates among the world’s largest companies.

McCarthy most recently led Rubrik’s global go-to-market function as President and Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing worldwide sales, operations, field execution, and partner ecosystem while contributing significantly to the company’s successful public listing and international growth.
His prior experience includes serving as Chief Revenue Officer at ThoughtSpot during its shift to a SaaS-first model, and senior roles at AppDynamics (following Cisco’s acquisition) and Qlik, where he focused on enterprise-wide adoption and revenue scaling.
