Strategic Partnership for Scalable AI

Announced on July 16, 2025, the 18-month agreement aims to deliver Blaize’s Graph Streaming Processor (GSP)-based hybrid AI platform across key Asia-Pacific markets, including India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and China. The partnership leverages Starshine’s regional infrastructure to deploy scalable, energy-efficient AI solutions, initially focusing on smart city applications like AI-powered surveillance and video analytics.

“This is the beginning of real-world AI infrastructure at scale,” said Dinakar Munagala, co-founder and CEO of Blaize. “Asia represents a $112B opportunity for next-generation intelligent systems, and inference is leading the charge.”

Stock Performance and Market Impact

Following the announcement, Blaize’s stock (NASDAQ: BZAI) soared 100% on July 18, 2025, reaching $4.699, as shown in the finance card above. Despite a year-to-date decline of -79.80% and financial challenges, including a $192.21M net loss, the deal has bolstered investor confidence, with DA Davidson maintaining a Buy rating and a $10.00 price target.

Hybrid AI for High-Growth Sectors

Blaize’s GSP-based platform integrates with GPU infrastructure to create hybrid AI computing clusters, enabling real-time, localized decision-making with reduced energy consumption. The rollout targets:

  • Smart City Surveillance: Multi-node AI video analytics for urban environments.

  • Retail & Security: Low-latency edge AI for real-time insights.

  • Smart Industry: Predictive maintenance and automation in manufacturing.

  • AgTech: AI-driven resource optimization for agriculture.

“Hybrid AI is no longer an experiment; it’s infrastructure,” said Teng Ma, Chairman of Starshine. “Blaize delivers exactly what our customers demand: flexibility, power efficiency, multimodal support, and scalability.”

Financial and Strategic Context

The $120M deal, representing nearly 60x Blaize’s trailing 12-month revenue of $2.01M, underscores its potential to transform Asia’s AI landscape. Additional contracts, including a $56M deal for 250,000 surveillance endpoints in Southeast Asia, highlight Blaize’s growing traction in smart infrastructure. Despite financial losses, the company projects $19M–$50M in 2025 revenue, driven by these partnerships.

Addressing Asia’s AI Demand

With Asia’s AI infrastructure market projected at $112B, Blaize and Starshine aim to meet surging demand for real-time, localized intelligence. The partnership supports smart cities, industrial automation, and climate resilience initiatives, positioning Blaize as a key player in the region’s AI transformation.
