Axonius has expanded its Asset Cloud platform with new AI-powered capabilities designed to help security and IT teams securely integrate artificial intelligence into security operations. The company introduced the Axonius AI Agent, Axonius MCP Server, and Docs for AI, enabling organizations to leverage trusted asset intelligence directly within AI workflows while addressing governance and visibility challenges associated with enterprise AI adoption.
As enterprises continue integrating large language models (LLMs) and AI agents into security operations, one of the biggest challenges remains providing AI systems with accurate, verified asset intelligence. Many organizations still rely on manual exports, custom integrations, or disconnected data sources, limiting AI effectiveness and increasing operational risk.
Axonius aims to eliminate these challenges by introducing three new capabilities that enable AI-powered workflows to access trusted, continuously updated asset intelligence directly from the Axonius Asset Cloud.
The newly introduced Axonius AI Agent enables security and IT teams to ask cybersecurity and asset intelligence questions using plain English. Instead of relying on complex queries, users can receive actionable insights within seconds through conversations that retain context across sessions.
Because the AI Agent operates on Axonius' continuously reconciled asset model, it provides responses based on trusted enterprise asset data while learning from previous interactions. The solution also integrates seamlessly with the Axonius MCP Server, allowing trusted asset intelligence to flow into existing AI tools.
Axonius also introduced the Axonius MCP Server, built around the emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard that connects AI systems with external enterprise data sources.
The MCP Server converts natural language requests into Axonius Query Language (AQL), enabling AI applications to retrieve live asset information from the Axonius Asset Cloud. By serving as a governed source of asset intelligence, the platform helps AI-driven workflows make informed decisions using accurate and continuously updated organizational data.
To further simplify enterprise AI adoption, Axonius launched Docs for AI, making platform documentation publicly available and optimized for large language model ingestion.
Unlike traditional documentation that often requires portal access or additional configuration, Docs for AI enables both developers and AI systems to easily access guidance without requiring an MCP setup, software purchases, or account registration.
The announcement follows findings from Axonius' 2026 research, which reported that only 45% of organizations successfully consolidate asset and exposure data into a unified view. Without reliable asset intelligence, AI systems risk operating on incomplete or outdated information.
By combining AI-powered querying, governed asset access, and AI-ready documentation, Axonius seeks to establish a trusted foundation for AI-assisted detection, prioritization, and remediation across enterprise environments.
“Every AI tool deployed by security and IT teams is only as good as the asset data behind it,” said Moshe Ben Simon, chief product officer at Axonius. “The Axonius AI Agent and Axonius MCP Server give the AI tools you already use a direct line to real-time asset data. That is the difference between an AI that guesses, and an AI that knows your environment.”
The introduction of AI Agent, MCP Server, and Docs for AI reflects Axonius' broader strategy to strengthen AI-powered cybersecurity operations through trusted asset intelligence. By enabling AI systems to access governed, real-time asset data, the company aims to help organizations improve security decision-making while supporting the growing adoption of AI across enterprise environments.
