Managing supplier and transportation risk is a critical challenge for modern supply chains, where underqualified workers and unsafe motor carriers pose significant threats to safety and operations. To address this, Avetta, a leading supply chain risk management (SCRM) software provider, has announced enhanced integrations within its AI-powered Avetta One platform. These upgrades with DISA Global Solutions and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) deliver deeper, real-time risk intelligence to help clients make faster, more confident decisions.

Quick Intel

  • Avetta has enhanced its risk data integrations with DISA and the FMCSA.

  • The DISA integration now includes background checks alongside drug and alcohol testing.

  • The FMCSA integration is now API-based for lower latency and more current data.

  • The goal is to improve supplier worker readiness and reduce road transportation risk.

  • This helps clients proactively identify at-risk workers and motor carriers.

  • The enhancements aim to create safer workers and more resilient supply chains.

Achieving a Complete View of Supplier Worker Readiness

The deepened integration with DISA now incorporates background checks alongside existing drug and alcohol testing, providing a more comprehensive view of supplier worker readiness. This allows hiring clients to automatically request and retrieve background check results directly within the Avetta Worker Management system, view them in real time, and establish custom pass/fail flags based on their specific requirements. This is crucial in an environment where nearly half of workers admit to falsifying qualifications, and underqualified workers are over three times more likely to be injured.

Proactively Managing Transportation Risk with Real-Time Data

Avetta has also upgraded its FMCSA integration to an API-based model, significantly reducing data latency. This ensures clients have access to the most up-to-date visibility into motor carrier safety performance. With over half a million large truck accidents in the US in 2023 alone, this enhanced capability allows clients to more proactively and accurately identify at-risk carriers from within the Avetta platform, enabling better-informed sourcing decisions to reduce road transportation-related incidents, costs, and disruptions.

These strategic enhancements empower organizations to move from reactive monitoring to proactive risk management. By consolidating critical compliance and safety data into a unified platform, Avetta is providing the tools necessary to build safer, more efficient, and more resilient supply chain operations.
