Altruist today announced a new AI-powered financial planning agent within Hazel, its transformative AI platform.
The all-in-one offering builds bespoke financial plans that encompass six critical workflows: retirement planning, investment optimization, cash flow analysis, estate planning, tax strategy, and insurance and risk.
Historically, each of these tasks have taken advisors hours to complete. Hazel's new agent can now provide comprehensive, advisor-ready financial plans in minutes.

Hazel and the financial planning agent are available to firms regardless of whether they custody assets with Altruist.
The agent gives advisors a rich, interactive planning experience where they can do real-time scenario modeling with clients to explore how different savings, investment, and spending strategies can impact their financial picture.
Hazel builds financial plans using data it collects from financial documents, as well as details it automatically captures from client meetings and communications, notes, and other connected data sources.
Hazel uses AI to collect and understand client data but uses dedicated calculation programs for financial computations. Every figure in a plan is calculated, not AI generated.
Like all Hazel features, the financial planning agent is governed by zero data retention agreements with Hazel's AI model providers. That means they are prohibited from retaining any data from Altruist or its customers. Operating on the same secure infrastructure as Altruist, Hazel data is never used to train AI models or sold to third-party providers.
This capability represents the second installment in a series of expanded planning solutions anticipated for the platform.
