Additionally, 36.1% of pitches focus on sustainability, addressing renewable energy, waste management, and carbon reduction, reflecting a blend of profit and purpose.
The competition reveals a shift toward niche and underserved markets, with 33.9% of applicants targeting specialized audiences compared to 29.9% for general consumers. Products range from sensory-friendly goods for children with ADHD to tools for mobility-challenged users. Gen-Z founders are driving social impact, with 33.6% starting ventures to address societal issues and 29.5% aiming to create social value, redefining entrepreneurship as a tool for progress.
A notable trend is the rise of digital-native entrepreneurs, with many applicants leveraging large social media followings on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This shift from influencer to product-based entrepreneur highlights how creators are using their personal brands to launch innovative products, tapping into engaged audiences to drive market success.
Despite the creativity, 63.7% of applicants cite funding as their biggest challenge, with 20.5% lacking mentorship and 17.9% facing supply chain issues. CoCreate 2025 addresses these barriers through a $1 million prize pool, with 100 semi-finalists pitching live in Las Vegas (September 4–5) and London (November 14). Winners will receive up to $200,000, complemented by access to 50+ vetted manufacturers and over 20,000 product samples. A new business matchmaking program and 100+ expert-led sessions further empower entrepreneurs.
