The report highlights its ability to deliver measurable business outcomes by automating complex processes with minimal human intervention. This capability positions agentic AI as a critical tool for organizations aiming to enhance efficiency and innovation.
The study identifies a clear profile for organizations successfully deploying agentic AI. Notably, 6.5% of surveyed organizations have agentic AI in production, all of which share a strong foundation in data maturity. “We're committed to providing data-driven, independent, and objective research that helps our community make informed decisions in the face of rapid change,” said Howard Dresner, founder and chief research officer at Dresner Advisory. These early adopters typically have prior success with business intelligence, early adoption of machine learning, and a designated data leader, underscoring the importance of robust data infrastructure.
While 10.5% of organizations are actively experimenting or deploying agentic AI, and 27% are planning to adopt it, 58% remain cautious. However, as early adopters demonstrate tangible results, broader adoption is expected to accelerate. The report emphasizes that overcoming obstacles such as data readiness and training will be key to scaling agentic AI across industries.
The rise of agentic AI marks a pivotal moment for businesses seeking to maintain a competitive edge. As organizations with strong data foundations lead the way, the technology’s ability to drive automation and innovation positions it as a critical imperative for future success.
