In this role, Martin-Garcia will be 8x8's Principal Accounting Officer and oversee global accounting operations, including financial close and reporting, revenue, payroll and equity, and treasury functions across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC regions.

She began her career with nine years at KPMG and is a CPA (inactive) in California.
Martin-Garcia will oversee global accounting across U.S., EMEA, and APAC regions, reporting to CFO Kevin Kraus.
She received an inducement grant of 600,000 RSUs vesting over three years, approved under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4).

In this role, Martin-Garcia will be 8x8's Principal Accounting Officer and oversee 8x8's global accounting organization, including financial close and reporting, revenue, payroll and equity, and treasury functions across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC regions. She will report directly to Kevin Kraus, Chief Financial Officer.

Martin-Garcia brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, with a history of leading high-performance teams and driving financial integrity for high-growth, multinational public companies. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at CareDx, where she led a global accounting organization, strengthened the internal control environment, and scaled the company's financial infrastructure through the implementation of new accounting and reporting systems. Prior to CareDx, she held global accounting leadership positions at Carbon, Inc., Polycom, and Plantronics. Martin-Garcia began her career with nine years in public accounting at KPMG and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed (inactive) in the state of California.
The independent directors of 8x8's Compensation Committee approved an award of restricted stock units (RSUs) for 600,000 shares of 8x8's common stock to be granted to Martin-Garcia. The award will vest over a three-year period, subject to the recipient's continued employment or other association with 8x8 or any of its subsidiaries. The award was approved by the independent directors of 8x8's Compensation Committee as material inducements to the hiring of a new employee in accordance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4) and 8x8's Amended and Restated 2017 New Employee Inducement Incentive Plan.
