One Stop Systems, Inc. (OSS) has strengthened its partnership with a leading Asian defense contractor through a third order for an autonomous maritime application. The $340,000 purchase order, set for delivery in Q3 2025, supports the production of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) designed for harbor patrol and security operations, marking a shift from development to full-scale production.

Quick Intel

  • OSS receives $340,000 order for autonomous maritime application.

  • Supports production of USVs for harbor patrol and security.

  • Builds on $200,000 order from December 2024.

  • OSS expects $4 million in cumulative sales from 2026 to 2029.

  • Supplies rugged 3U Gen 5 servers for computer vision and navigation.

  • Enhances maritime security with AI and ML at the edge.

Transition to Production for USVs

The latest order follows a $200,000 purchase in December 2024, signaling a transition from system development to production deployment for the defense contractor’s USV program. OSS anticipates approximately $4 million in cumulative sales between 2026 and 2029 as the customer expands its USV product line. This multi-year opportunity underscores OSS’s growing role in providing rugged computing solutions for autonomous maritime systems.

Rugged Computing for Autonomous Navigation

OSS is delivering 16 rugged 3U Gen 5 Short Depth Servers (SDS) and redundant ethernet switches to support high-speed data processing from over 30 cameras. These systems enable computer vision and autonomous navigation, allowing USVs to operate intelligently in complex marine environments. Designed to withstand temperatures above 40°C, the rugged platform ensures reliable performance for defense, public safety, and maritime security missions.

Scalable Technology for Maritime Security

The OSS platform converts manned patrol boats into autonomous surface vessels, supporting a range of mission profiles. By embedding PCIe/Switch Fabric technology, OSS provides scalable computing power for AI, machine learning, and sensor processing at the edge. This enables USVs to handle real-time data interpretation, enhancing operational efficiency and safety in harbor patrol applications.

Strategic Partnership and Industry Impact

“This announcement demonstrates continued momentum in our partnership with a leading defense contractor and reflects the successful transition into the production phase of their USV program,” said OSS CEO Mike Knowles. “It also reinforces our broader platform-based growth strategy aimed at embedding OSS’s PCIe/Switch Fabric technology from initial development, through production scaling, and into long-term sustainment and support. We believe this model aligns with how global defense contractors build and manage critical programs. We see meaningful long-term value in this expanding relationship, and we are proud to support the deployment of next-generation autonomous maritime systems that advance national and maritime security.”

The partnership positions OSS as a key player in the autonomous maritime sector, leveraging its rugged computing expertise to support next-generation defense technologies. As demand for autonomous systems grows, OSS’s scalable solutions are set to drive advancements in maritime security and operational efficiency.
