Building the underlying infrastructure for AI high-performance computing presents unique challenges in resource allocation, networking, and security. Mirantis has announced an integration with NVIDIA BlueField Data Processing Units (DPUs) to help organizations build next-generation infrastructure that meets the performance, governance, and agility demands of modern AI workloads. This collaboration positions Mirantis as one of the first design partners to deliver secure multi-tenant networking for AI using NVIDIA BlueField technology.

The integration of Mirantis k0rdent AI, with its declarative, Kubernetes-native capabilities, and the high-performance data processing of NVIDIA BlueField DPUs, is designed to address these exact requirements. Delivering Secure Multi-Tenancy and Isolation

With the integration of Mirantis k0rdent AI and NVIDIA BlueField, we’re delivering multi-tenant Kubernetes with strict isolation at all layers that provides support for complex networking and isolation, while still providing tenants full access to their Kubernetes cluster.”

The joint solution delivers critical capabilities for shared AI environments, including robust multi-tenancy support for data security, strict network isolation at the interface level, the ability to share GPUs and other compute resources, and high-speed access to data storage. This is particularly vital for AI workloads driven by confidential or proprietary data, ensuring data sovereignty.

Mirantis is already preparing for the next generation of hardware, with plans to support the newly announced NVIDIA BlueField-4. This future-proofs the solution, allowing it to leverage the sixfold increase in compute power and doubled network throughput.
