Lenovo, in partnership with NVIDIA, has unveiled the Lenovo AI Cloud Gigafactory program—a major initiative designed to help AI cloud providers deploy gigawatt-scale AI factories at unprecedented speed. The program aims to accelerate the journey from infrastructure investment to production-ready AI services by dramatically reducing the time-to-first-token (TTFT), a critical benchmark for measuring ROI in next-generation AI workloads.

  • Lenovo and NVIDIA launch a Gigawatt AI Factories program for AI cloud providers.

  • The goal is to accelerate deployment, reducing time-to-first-token (TTFT) to weeks.

  • The program combines Lenovo's liquid-cooled infrastructure, global manufacturing, and services with NVIDIA's latest accelerated computing platforms.

  • It supports NVIDIA's Blackwell Ultra and the newly announced Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems.

  • Lenovo's full lifecycle services aim to reduce factory stand-up time and support long-term operation.

  • The initiative targets the soaring demand for sovereign, secure, and specialized AI at cloud scale.

Accelerating Value in the AI Era

The program addresses the growing complexity and scale of enterprise AI, where gigawatt-scale facilities are needed to support trillion-parameter agentic AI and physical AI applications. Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang emphasized the shift in how value is measured, stating, “In the AI era, value is no longer measured by compute alone, but also by how fast it delivers results. Together, Lenovo and NVIDIA are pushing the boundaries of AI factories to the gigawatt level, simplifying deployment of cloud-scale infrastructure that moves AI intelligence into production faster, with greater efficiency and predictability.”

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, highlighted the transformative role of AI factories, saying, “As AI transforms every industry, companies in every country will build or rent AI factories to produce intelligence. Together, NVIDIA and Lenovo are delivering full-stack computing platforms that power agentic AI systems.”

A Full-Stack, Integrated Framework

The Gigafactory program provides an integrated framework of optimized solutions, services, and manufacturing. It leverages Lenovo's Neptune liquid-cooling technology, global manufacturing scale, and Hybrid AI Factory Services to accelerate build-out and ensure reliable long-term operation. The program ensures early access to NVIDIA's most advanced infrastructure, including the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 with Blackwell Ultra GPUs and support for the newly announced Vera Rubin NVL72 flagship system, featuring next-generation networking with Spectrum-6 and Photonics Ethernet switches.

Reducing Time from Investment to Outcome

By unifying co-engineered hardware, deployment expertise, and full lifecycle services, the program is designed to compress the timeline for AI cloud providers to stand up revenue-generating, customized AI solutions. This shorter path from investment to operational outcome helps organizations realize value faster and integrate AI more deeply into core business operations.

With this initiative, Lenovo and NVIDIA are positioning themselves as essential partners for the next wave of AI cloud infrastructure, enabling providers to meet the explosive demand for specialized and sovereign AI with speed, scale, and trusted performance.
