JumpCloud has expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to introduce Agentic IAM, a new identity and access management solution designed to govern human, non-human, and autonomous AI agent identities within modern enterprises. Built and hosted on Google Cloud and optimized for Gemini Enterprise, the platform aims to provide organizations with a unified control plane for managing access, entitlements, and security policies across increasingly complex AI-driven environments.

As enterprises accelerate the deployment of AI agents into business workflows, the need for scalable identity governance and Zero Trust security frameworks is becoming a critical operational requirement. JumpCloud's Agentic IAM addresses this challenge by extending identity management capabilities to AI-powered systems while leveraging Google Cloud's global infrastructure and security capabilities.

Addressing the Rise of Autonomous AI Agents

As AI agents evolve from experimental technologies into operational business assets, organizations are facing new identity and access management challenges.

Unlike traditional users, AI agents can operate continuously, interact across multiple systems, and execute tasks at machine speed. This creates new security considerations around authentication, authorization, monitoring, and governance.

According to JumpCloud, research indicates that 66% of organizations now grant AI agents equal or greater system access than human users. However, only 37% have fully integrated those AI agents into formal identity and access management (IAM) policies.

This growing gap between AI adoption and governance is driving demand for dedicated solutions capable of managing AI identities alongside human users.

Building AI Identity Management on Google Cloud

JumpCloud's Agentic IAM is built on Google Cloud's infrastructure to provide the scalability, performance, and security required for enterprise AI workloads.

The platform serves as a centralized identity management layer that governs access rights and entitlements across users, devices, applications, and AI agents. By leveraging Google Cloud's global infrastructure, organizations can manage high-volume AI interactions while maintaining security and compliance requirements.

The solution is also optimized for Gemini Enterprise, enabling businesses to deploy AI-powered workflows while maintaining centralized identity controls.

Managing the Full Lifecycle of AI Identities

A key objective of the collaboration is helping enterprises manage AI identities throughout their operational lifecycle.

As organizations integrate AI agents into customer service, operations, productivity, and decision-making workflows, ensuring that each AI interaction is authenticated, authorized, and auditable becomes increasingly important.

The integration with Gemini Enterprise enables organizations to connect AI agents to thousands of applications and resources available through JumpCloud's ecosystem while maintaining visibility and governance over access activities.

Key Capabilities of Agentic IAM

Scalable AI Identity Infrastructure

Agentic IAM leverages Google Cloud's global infrastructure to support real-time identity discovery and registration. This capability is designed to accommodate the growing volume of AI-generated requests and interactions while maintaining performance and reliability.

Gemini Enterprise Optimization

The platform is specifically optimized for Gemini Enterprise, enabling organizations to streamline AI adoption and securely connect users and AI agents to applications, resources, and business systems.

AI Device Trust

JumpCloud's AI Device Trust functionality helps verify that AI requests originate from authorized human operators. The capability incorporates biometric verification and additional environmental security checks to strengthen authentication processes and reduce risk.

Unified AI Gateway

Agentic IAM includes a centralized AI gateway designed to manage agentic traffic and monitor access requests across enterprise environments. The gateway supports Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication flows while leveraging OpenID Connect and secure credential management technologies.

The platform also supports short-lived token management controls to strengthen security and reduce exposure to credential-based threats.

Industry Perspective on AI Governance

"The move to autonomous AI agents requires a foundational shift in how we think about trust and scale," said Dwight Allgood, senior director, strategic alliances, JumpCloud. "By building our Agentic IAM infrastructure on Google Cloud and integrating with Gemini Enterprise, we are helping to ensure our customers have the most robust, low-latency, and secure environment possible. We aren't just reporting on AI events; we are providing the automated guardrails that turn AI from a shadow risk into a secure competitive advantage. This is vital given that our research shows that 66% of organizations now grant AI agents equal or greater system access than human users, yet only 37% have fully integrated those agents into their formal IAM policies."

"With this integration, JumpCloud is expanding its use of Google Cloud's AI and making it easier for its customers to build agents using our platform," said Granville Valentine, Managing Director, AI Sales & GTM, North America, Google Cloud. "As enterprises rapidly adopt Gemini to transform their workflows, managing the lifecycle of these AI identities becomes a mission-critical priority. This collaboration simplifies how organizations securely connect their agents to the extensive ecosystem of applications and resources available within JumpCloud's catalog."

Availability and Future Rollout

JumpCloud announced that Google Cloud-integrated Agentic IAM capabilities will be introduced throughout 2026. Planned releases include Managed AI Connectors and AI Device Trust capabilities for Gemini Enterprise sessions.

As organizations continue expanding the use of AI agents across critical business processes, identity governance is becoming a central component of enterprise AI strategies. By combining AI identity management, Zero Trust security, and cloud-scale infrastructure, JumpCloud aims to help organizations securely manage the growing ecosystem of autonomous digital workers.
