IREN Limited has achieved a major milestone by securing NVIDIA Preferred Partner status while expanding its AI Cloud infrastructure with a significant procurement of NVIDIA’s next-generation GPUs. The company has acquired 1,200 air-cooled NVIDIA B300s and 1,200 liquid-cooled NVIDIA GB300s in a deal worth approximately $168 million, bringing its total GPU fleet to 10,900 units.
Achieves NVIDIA Preferred Partner status
$168M purchase of NVIDIA B300 and GB300 GPUs
$96M financing secured through a 24-month lease
Fleet expands to 10.9k NVIDIA GPUs across models
10MW liquid-cooled data center under construction in Prince George
Strengthens AI Cloud offering for scalable HPC solutions
The latest acquisition includes 1,200 NVIDIA B300s and 1,200 NVIDIA GB300s. With this procurement, IREN’s total GPU fleet now stands at 10,900, consisting of:
0.8k NVIDIA H100s
1.1k NVIDIA H200s
5.4k NVIDIA B200s
2.4k NVIDIA B300s
1.2k NVIDIA GB300s
The GPUs will be deployed at IREN’s Prince George campus, which is undergoing construction for a 10MW liquid-cooled installation designed to support more than 4,500 GB300s.
To support the $168 million acquisition, IREN secured approximately $96 million in financing for the GB300s. Structured as a 24-month lease covering the full purchase price, the financing carries a high single-digit interest rate. The B300 GPUs are funded through existing cash reserves, with additional financing streams under evaluation.
According to Daniel Roberts, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of IREN:
“We are pleased to have secured NVIDIA Preferred Partner status and additional non-dilutive GPU financing, enabling us to expand our cloud offering with liquid-cooled, next-generation NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems.”
Roberts also emphasized the flexibility of IREN’s infrastructure:
“Supporting both liquid-cooled and air-cooled systems within the same data center campus highlights the versatility of our data center platform - underpinned by nearly 3GW of grid-connected power and scalable to hundreds of thousands of GPUs.”
By integrating NVIDIA’s B300 and GB300 GPUs, IREN enhances its ability to deliver scalable AI and HPC (high-performance computing) solutions. The deployment of liquid-cooled NVL72 systems marks a step forward in efficiency and power density, positioning IREN to meet growing enterprise demand for AI-driven workloads.
IREN’s strategy continues to align with its focus on renewable-powered, high-capacity data centers capable of supporting advanced computing applications at scale.
IREN is a leading developer, owner and operator of next-generation data centers powering the future of Bitcoin, AI and beyond utilizing 100% renewable energy including through the purchase of RECs.
