FactSet, a global provider of data and AI solutions for financial markets, has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud aimed at developing a new generation of AI-powered tools for the financial industry. The collaboration focuses on building agentic AI solutions designed for investment professionals, deal-making workflows, and enterprise financial operations, with an emphasis on trusted, auditable, and regulation-ready intelligence.
The partnership reflects growing demand across the financial sector for AI systems that are not only intelligent but also reliable, explainable, and compliant with regulatory standards. Financial institutions increasingly require tools that combine advanced AI capabilities with trusted data sources to support critical investment and advisory decisions.
FactSet and Google Cloud aim to address this need by developing agentic AI systems that streamline workflows across portfolio management, deal advisory, and corporate finance functions.
A key component of the collaboration is the integration of Google’s Gemini models and enterprise search capabilities directly into FactSet Workstation through the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
This integration will enable the development of next-generation AI agents capable of delivering deep research functionality, multi-modal insights, and enhanced financial intelligence. By combining FactSet’s proprietary financial datasets with Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure, the platform aims to deliver more comprehensive and context-aware insights.
The partnership also builds on earlier collaboration with Google DeepMind, extending FactSet’s MCP and agent-sharing capabilities into Gemini Enterprise. This integration enhances interoperability between FactSet Workstation and Google Cloud’s AI ecosystem.
As a result, financial professionals will be able to access unified AI-driven insights and workflows, improving efficiency in research, analysis, and execution across investment lifecycles.
FactSet and Google Cloud will jointly develop AI agents using the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. These agents are designed to automate and optimize key financial workflows, including portfolio operations, deal execution, and corporate finance decision-making.
The goal is to reduce manual workload, accelerate insight generation, and improve decision accuracy through AI-driven automation embedded directly into financial processes.
As part of the agreement, FactSet will also incorporate Google Cloud into its existing multi-cloud infrastructure strategy. This expansion is expected to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and innovation capacity across its global client base.
The move supports FactSet’s broader goal of delivering resilient, high-performance data and AI solutions to financial institutions worldwide.
The partnership between FactSet and Google Cloud represents a significant step in the evolution of AI-driven financial technology. By combining trusted financial data with advanced agentic AI capabilities, the collaboration aims to reshape how investment professionals access insights, automate workflows, and make decisions in increasingly complex markets.
